Fired up another NY striploin roast. Man, it was so delicious that I had to eat a second slice. Buuurp. One day of over-indulgence and I will be a good boy for the rest of the week.

@Giseledta We have had Bell On Demand forever but isn't that the channels where you have to pay to see a movie? The prices were always reasonable
around $4.99 - $6.99 for first run flicks, but since we have other streaming services we kind of stopped using Bell on Demand. I just checked and we still have access to it.

No. The feature they changed on us is where we can watch past episodes of shows, instead of watching them live.

I very very rarely watch any movies ect you have to pay for . Usually 1 x a year at Christmas with the kids if a new marvel one comes out.

I haven’t heard of that @SassyAshley . * off to google*. Actually I haven’t baked bread since I was a kid with my dad and grandma and then I didn’t do much really.

    Any recommendations are appreciated

My hope was to be more intentional with my time today when I took breaks but well I got the basics done. Dishwasher emptied, random load of towels washed and dried, emptied the draining rack and reloaded the dishwasher with today's dishes.

I am trying to be better at keeping on top of the dishwasher and keeping the drying rack clear so I have no excuses to let the mess carry over to the next time because it piles up and it piles up quickly. When my kitchen is a mess I feel like my world is a mess.

I did work a little bit late tonight as I was checking something a co-worker did as they are helping me on a project and was on a roll and wanted to finish the spreadsheet. Then I spent some time cleaning up my email, my dirty little secret when we came back from Shut Down, I had over 25,000. Gt it down to 25,000 last night and tonight I got it down to 24,500, at this rate maybe by summer I will have it cleaned up LOL.

I cheated again for dinner tonight and made Nachos. By the time dinner rolled around waking up at 3:30 and working on spreadsheets all day had caught up with me.

Really hoping for a good night of sleep tonight so I can knock some stuff out tomorrow. My Stand Up Freezer is beautiful but the other ones need help. Took me way too long tonight to find the Taco Meat for dinner.

Walmart had 3x 4-litre jugs of milk for $2.87 each. Still had two days before Best date.

Walked home 5 miles in -25 Celsius weather and they were almost milkshake by the time I got inside.

New account...my old one was just saundyl.

I'm pretty sure it's been so long since I logged in my old account is gone. I was very active here 12 years ago. And then I fell off the frugal consciousness wagon.

Starting off this year with trying again.

Credit cards are all no longer. I got myself in a spot of debt overload and had to negotiate things. We had many things go wrong in the last two years, had to live on credit - my husband was off work for reasons forc4 months... then we had extra travel due to those reasons, family members passing, a house fire... among a few other major negative evebts. Then i had 3 months of stress leave as well. Interest racked up and we both made bad choices for purchases just before the incidents (like a boat for fishing, which we use and love)

This year will be a whole relearning to be careful and smart.

I saw on a no spend group on Facebook today that if you spend 27.40 a day on junk or fast food you're spending $10,000 a year that hit home. Then I thought maybe I could save, earn or sell items I don't use to make that much a day this year just to rebuild an emergency fund.

So many things to start thinking about.

The first SDM opened in our community right after the holiday bonus redemptions ended. I’m still learning how best to do SDM shopping and trying out my new app offers.

I made my healthier monster cookie squares and apple crisp.

I sorted my coupons and made new trade posts in a couple Facebook groups yesterday. I finalized two coupon trades today.

    @harbie ,

This is the one I am making this week (or was thinking of making, might switch it up, not sure yet):

I have also made this one when we decide we want fresh bread with dinner and I don't have the 12+ hours for it to sit:

    Good Morning Everyone,
A little bit of a slower morning, I slept last night but then I did not want to get out of bed, it was warm and cozy.

There is a lot of snow out there and it is still coming down, UGH not looking forward to digging out.

Last night I went on a mission to find a recipe I used I make but has been replaced on the blog with a "New Version" which is in no way shape or form the same recipe. It was a Chicken Parmesan Soup but what made it different was it used Quinoa instead of Pasta. The "New Version" is a Quinoa and Vegetable soup which they are calling a healthier version but there is no Chicken, it does still have Parm. So I went on a mission to try to find this recipe somewhere else and I think I have. I will try it tomorrow and see.

I really need to find more lunch options, I cannot rely on leftovers because honestly, we don't always have leftovers. Last night when I was trying to plan for next week all I could come up with were rice bowls which I cannot have every week. So thinking a soup.

Now to figure out today, I am not lacking things that need to be done in my house but I woke up planning to clean out my chest freezer. But, I know there are a few things in there I need to throw out and there is way I can take the garbage out right now, they have not plowed or shovelled yet.

The other thing I planned to do was take out our garbage and recycling and deep clean that area, we have a double bin and I was going to steam clean it. But this is also off the table.

I have so many other things I could do just need to decide on something, just having issues getting my brain to switch plans because I had a plan. Hopefully my cup of tea will help.

    Happy Saturday Everyone.

Oh my gosh, there is a lot of snow out there.

On our stairs it was up to the top of my boots.

The stairs have been shovelled and I used the shovel to clean off my car. It is not hope in and drive but the snow is off. I wanted to do Mom's car as well but for some reason they left 4 ft of snow in front of her car so hoping they plow that.

I also shovelled beside my car since the snow was so high so I can get in and out of my car right now BUT more snow is coming.

It didn't seem that cold when I was outside but now that I am back inside I feel like I am defrosting so time for another cup of tea.

Odd question, does anyone make soup with Gnocchi in it? If so, if there were leftovers how did the Gnocchi stand up when reheated?
