How might I save by shopping at Costco?

Typically, how much less per liter do you pay compared to the posted prices at regular gas stations?

Hubby buys gas late at night he'll wait til it's at its lowest
If I'm at costco it's during the day so 5 - 7 cents cheaper than the stations down the road

While I have no doubt the exec membership works for some, it doesn't seem to be a likely fit for us. Our projected spend on the categories of items Costco sells is under $5000, so well below the >$6000 to get the fee back.

Wow I just did the math it's actually 6500 I find it hard to believe I don't that much but it's easy once you in there, I usually do a 300 shop but i have spent more and less. I only go once a month a most

Does Costco Executive 2 include gas?
1. Gasoline. Gas purchases at Costco are not eligible to earn 2% cash back on an Executive membership. Similarly, you can't use your rewards certificate from that membership to pay for fuel for your car at Costco's gas stations.
