@lizzie bargain we have not heard anything from elections Canada yet.
we had my brother and sister in law and my mom over for dinner tonight. The kitchen is fully functional. Just a few minor things to do. @coupongirl I was in our local GT this week and commented to my mom how insanely busy it was. We don’t have a lot of grocery option in NS so GT is often a first choice, but this just seemed next level busy.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Good Morning Everyone,
Woke up early this morning and was wide awake so I started my day. There was a want to just lay in bed maybe read or something but knew it was a bad idea.
It is still rain here so far but it is supposed to change to freezing rain as the day goes on and continue right into tomorrow. Although it looks like we got up to 7 tomorrow so hopefully anything we get will quickly melt. I am staying with my plan to hibernate.
I pulled some Cinnamon Buns from the freezer that I will bake off. They got a little freezer burnt so we will see how they come out. Need to make more for the freezer but remember to sucker seal them this time.
Thinking I might make Chicken Parm for Dinner with a side of Tortellini with Veggies mixed in. We have Mushrooms and Zucchini and I will add peppers to mine (I know Mom won't want the peppers).
I need to finish our Meal Plan for the week, I came up with a few things and I think after we get the Chicken out of the fridge I am going to make side dishes for the week. Will see if I can use the side dishes in a few different ways to try to maximize my prep time. Also need to see if there is anything I can pre make. It is going to be a busy week and want to set us up for success.
I started a second basket for my markers last night, I want to seperate my markers into my writing and colouring markers. I always find it funny how the first time I make a new crochet project it feels like it takes forever but the second one goes so much quicker.
Happy Saturday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

woo hoo! Another early riser! ( congrats on getting a fair bit done and planned already @SassyAshley ) Mmmm Cinnamon buns!
I was also up and at'em before 7 a.m. today. Yesterday was a deliriously joyful day for me.
My test results from a procedure came back CLEAN, clear, nothing to see here! I've never had a result like that so it was a reason
to jump for joy. Even DH saw that my tears were of the happy kind.
Anyway, I went out early to take advantage of an AM flash offer and after that I was about to head to do the FB, NF, Metro rounds
until I realized my LIST was sitting at home. I simply cannot shop without it. I must go out because that threat of ice coming has me
concerned.
Have a happy weekend everyone!!

Morning! I was not part of the early bird club today...it was 10:30am when I finally crawled out of bed. Was awake but knowing the freezing rain was on our trees/roof figured there was no rush to get my day going since I don't plan on going anywhere.
My trip to FB yesterday was enough to keep me home this weekend. Tons of people and 1 cashier and self check out open...at 4pm on a Friday with the threat of a big storm. oh and there were lots of empty shelves in the dairy section (no sour cream). No 12pk eggs. (I grabbed a 18pk which was a better deal anyway.)
I pulled in the driveway at home and at that moment the freezing rain started!
Took a package of extra lean beef out of the freezer this morning. Will make homemade pasta sauce this afternoon. Not sure if that will be the dinner plan for tonight or tomorrow. I bought fresh asparagus yesterday so looking forward to that with steak/chicken either tonight or tomorrow.
Oldest DS asked if I would do his laundry...yes I will. It's in the washer now ( I had to wash my swimsuit anyway since I was in hottub Thursday with lots of chemicals...I did wash it with soap in the sink after but wanted to give it another wash since it is brand new.)
Will clean the kitchen and pull the stuff for the pasta sauce. I have chopped peppers and onions in the freezer that I will add. Then We will have an almost empty spot! Will make rice today too so I can make that chicken fried rice for DS. He loves it and it will free up more space in the freezer (cooked chicken) and then he will have food to eat in the middle of the night without smelling up the house (garlic bread!!!!)
I would also like to bake some blueberry muffins. We have a large bag of blueberries in the freezer so it will be another thing out of the freezer and the one muffin everyone likes. (DS will eat most I am sure)
I will also make something with chocolate chips since I scored on them.
Then I really could not worry about shopping for a week since we have enough basics plus our pantry/freezer stuff to eat well all week.
If I get all that done then I will be happy. Today will count for my lazy/tired day. But I will walk on treadmill later today since it probably isn't safe to walk outside.
Have a wonderful and safe Saturday!

Was a productive morning even though I got up late!
Laundry in the dryer. (bathing suits hung to dry)
Breakfast done.
Everything pulled from freezer for pasta sauce and chicken fried rice. (will make later this afternoon so I can leave it simmer and then cook the pasta when ready)
Boiled/chopped eggs and chopped onions and put each in a container for quick egg salad sandwiches when wanted.
Melon cut up and put in single serving containers in fridge.
Kitchen clean.

wah!!!!you guys! Sure make me cry even more....much thanks. @harbie I really love emoticons!
I went back out to Metro, bought 2 of their " deals " ( I say that jokingly ) . Bought a mammoth roasted chicken and an x large 16" pepperoni/cheese pizza.
Both items are on at a special 4 day sale price of $10.99 . Plus I actually got to redeem $5.00 in MOI points! We're probably staying in for the remainder of
the day, so @Frugalbigmama you made the right call shopping Friday night!

I was up early got somethings done but not much of importance.
I took out the cinnamon buns let them rise for 4 hours although they really did not rise. I need to go back to my old recipe it was way better but my new bread machine is smaller and cannot handle dough, oh well guess I will make it by hand.
Then I made myself some Mini Lemon Cheesecakes, I have been craving cheesecake since Christmas (that was the original dessert I was going to take but changed when the numbers doubled) so today was the day.
Then I made Healthier Cream Cheese Frosting to go with the Cinnamon buns.
Change my mind and made Burgers for Dinner, I made triple to sauce so I will have dressing for my Burger Salads this week. Also Chopped up lettuce for the week since I had it out.
Well I was in the basement getting out burgers I reorganized the Beef and Chicken Bin. The beef bin has some room, the Chicken bin does not but since so many of our meals are Chicken this is to be expected. Looks like I need to buy more Ground Turkey, will watch for Costco to put it on sale. Tomorrow we will process the Chicken I just bought, we need Chunks (we use these the most) and more Halves (we slice the Chicken Breast in half lengthwise and share one, it works for us). I am slightly overrun with Tenders so I will use these when I make my lunches for the next little bit.
Tomorrow will be full on prep day. I think I have a fairly good plan going in. This week I just want to focus on setting us up for the week as it looks like it is going to be a busy one for me. Next week I really need to focus on using up the oddities. I will be making more Chex Mix nuts to use up more Walnuts (not going to lie they feel never ending).
Time to make some whipped cream and try my Lemon Cheesecakes.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

I saw in a video this week that at Costco west, BL SL ch breast is 13.99 per kg in packs of about 2.3 kg. $5 off per pkg is about 2.17 per kg. So the net price is about 11.82 per kg or 5.37 per lb. Fwiw, Costco's flat amount off per pkg makes the smaller packages slightly cheaper per lb.
I'm not in the market this week, but if I were, I'd go to NF where it's 4.58 per lb near me (GTA).

Good Morning Everyone,
Woke up at 4 am to the sound of tree branches falling. Everything here is now covered in ice but it is supposed to warm up and turn to rain around noon.
I should be prepping right now but well I was getting ready the lights kept winking so I am kind of afraid to start prepping. What if I am in the middle of cooking or baking something and we lose power?
I decided to have a cup of tea and see and so far we seem okay, the lights have stopped winking so might start my prep soon.
I did write a meal plan but again it seems a little beef heavy so we will see what happens as the week goes on.
Also not going to lie I know I just got pizza on Friday but I am working close to the super yummy Shawarma place at some point this week and it is under $30 for the two of us so that might be dinner one night. We will see how I feel as the week goes on.
I also need to figure out dinner for tonight I was thinking of taking out a Roast or Whole Chicken but again what if we lose power. Guess we will see how the day goes.
Think I will start by empty the fridge and going from there.
Happy Sunday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
