Happy Monday! Wow the weekend flew by! Thinking I should take next Monday off for a 3 day weekend!

The weather App shows sunshine with cloud but it is very grey and cloudy now. Was thinking of going kayaking later this afternoon. Will get everything ready to go still with the hopes that it will be a nice day!

My kitchen needs some love. Will tidy it up and then figure out the meal plan for the week. Have a head of romaine that I will prep so salad for sure tonight! Also have a melon I will cut up so it is ready to eat. Will start with all the things that need to be used up 1st and go from there.
I have to go to the bank to make a deposit so will pop in No Frills and see if there are any deals while down there.
Have a package of fresh beef in the fridge that I will make into burger patties. Have a package of buns in the freezer (My BIL sent them home with me because they didn't have any freezer room- They are from Costco and freeze/thaw well (I like a toasted bun so that works!) Maybe burgers and ceasar salad is the the dinner plan for tonight!

Ok coffee is good...I need to wake up

    Good Monday morning all.

Yesterday Dh and I went on a light ride that turned into 27km , 3 overpasses, and a killer hill! It was the one behind the hospital (by the ER entrance) which was almost needed . As we were climbing the hill I joked about the ER coming up and just then an ambulance supervisor suv passed us . Now if it had been the advanced life support team I would have flagged them down .

Today I’m dropping off some flowers and a card to a client who’s husband passed 1 year ago and then Dh and I are headed out for another ride. Not sure how long.

I grabbed some stuff from IGA ( only because they were on sale). Gardein ground round ($5.99), Silk soy milk ($3.99), So Delicious nice cream bars ($5.99 on sale this time). Also got a raincheck for the soy milk as I grabbed the last one.

    Have a great day everyone

    Good Afternoon Everyone,
Had to go into the plant this morning for a programming meeting.

Once my meeting was over I came home to start working on my long to-do list for work. I have a bunch of testing I need to get done.

Still need to clean the bathroom floor, hoping I can get this done tonight. I am fighting having no ambition after driving home.

Dinner will be Baked Tacos with Salsa Chicken and a side of "cheater" mexican corn.

I also need to tidying the kitchen up, Mom made herself dinner last night since I was at Dad's and when I got home after 8, I just did not have it in me the clean the Kitchen. Didn't help that I remembered I forgot to do something for work and had to log in and quickly take care of it, luckily it only took 10 minutes. It was one of those things that had to be done well no one else was logged in.

    Happy Monday Everyone.

    Good Morning Everyone,
I do not know what was up this morning but I did not want to get up and in my haze of trying to talk myself into getting up somehow I thought it was Friday, so not the best start to the day.

Today is a work from home day as I need to prepare for a procedure change that will take place this weekend and go into effect Monday. Luckily the staff effected is small so this being rushed through won't be an issue.

So much to get done around the house, I literally just want to purge but sadly it is not all my stuff and that is not an option. I am trying to walk what feels like the tightrope of getting things done but not overstepping but it is a challenge. Just the other day, we need to deal with this (the dining room which has become a dumping ground since we don't use it) but at the same time everything needs to stay. Even when I asked can I just move it to the basement to get it out of the way, nope, we need to start using it keep it up here. I get it but I don't. Oh well I will keep trying my best.

Today, I will first focus on the day to day stuff and go from there, the dishwasher needs to be emptied, the hand dishes put away and will go from there.

Trying to decide on Dinner, originally I was thinking Chicken with a salad packed with veggies but then I saw someone on TV eating pasta and my tummy went oh yum, so maybe pasta, we shall see.

    Happy Tuesday Everyone.

Good Morning! Looks like another nice day. Thinking a trip to the beach tonight

Dinner last night was suppose to be burgers and salad- But I went out running around after work and picked up a few groceries so decided I wanted to use up the leftovers in the fridge- pasta and chicken... So I chopped up peppers and onions (wished I had grabbed the mushrooms at GT) and sauteed them- added spice, the chicken and pasta and parm cheese and it was delicious!
Love that the leftovers were used up and we have dinner ready for tonight!

I slept hard last night. Which is good because I am feeling motivated today to get things done! I need to take care of laundry today. Apparently I didn't dry the load in the dryer last week! So it is re-washing now and then I will wash and hang up to dry another load as well.

Last week on a nice day I went to a place known for their Sandwiches and Salads- I ordered a Half Greek Half Pasta and took it to the town dock and ate it. Years ago when I worked at an office with many people we would usually walk there every Friday.. I didn't even go once last summer (I did try but the line up was long so I left) It was really good and I will go again next month

There are 2 places in town with a Tuesday special today- Pizza Hut has $2 1-topping personal size pizzas. And then a Mexican chain- I think it is Guac? (I've never been) has $2.49 tacos today. I have wanted to try this place so I think I may go get a taco to try for lunch today! Cheap way to try them.

Now to get the work day out of the way!

    Enjoy the day!

We know chocolate bars are a no-no for all of us here BUT at the NF in Pickering they had a large bunker style table filled with small ( 44 gr size ) Kit Kat Chunky bars in 2 very unique flavours. One was infused ( ? ) with those Drumstick ice cream cones! The other was Popcorn!
They were only .25 so we bought 6. They're GONE now, so DH wants to head back over there and buy quite a few to hand out to his cousins at the Fish & Chip get together lunch on Friday. We're bad, might as well encourage his relatives to be bad as well! ha ha

Today was a recovery day from yesterday’s 20.5km ride along the beach. So LOADS of laundry and tidying up before a long work week starts. I did pop into SOF for some strawberries (2lbs $5.99) so I grabbed 2 containers and saved $10 and 25c on Caddle for it and a couple of surveys and 12 Airmiles.

    Good Evening Everyone,
I swear some days when I get a surprise work from home day, bat signal or something goes off and everyone knows. Today was one of those days I spent a good part of my morning on the phone.

I did not get the manual completed I need for tomorrow so they will have to work off the working copy for now. It is what it is.

As part of my bullet journal one of my goals each day is to do 15-minutes of cleaning. I have noticed lately that is completed by keeping the kitchen clean and doing the hand dishes (both of which I track separately). I am okay with this on days I work in the office and get home later because honestly these days especially if I work till the end of the day, getting dinner on the table and cleaning is all I have in me some days. But on other days I want to track how often I get the "extras" done in that 15 minutes.

Tonight well I made dinner I emptied out the fridge and wiped it down. As well I did not clean out the fridge on the weekend nor did I take out the garbage so I did both of those tonight. We did not really have much to come out of the fridge just a package with literally 4 or 5 blackberries that went moldy and oddly a container of plain pasta was frozen but nothing else on the shelf is.

After Dinner I installed the bedroom AC units. I did the one downstairs a couple weekends ago and we have been using it but I had not gotten to the bedroom ones. After seeing the temps for next week I knew I needed to make this a priority. So they are installed and ready to go.

There is some random stuff in the living room I need to sort and find a home for, but that is not happening tonight, it is time to relax. There is always tomorrow.

Before bedtime around midnight, I popped a 4-pound brisket roast into the oven at 250 degreesF and left it. I awoke around 0700H to the sweet aroma of baked brisket and it was done perfectly. What a pleasant breakfast treat.

My morning brisket sandwich was soooo good, but the fatty trim has made me fall into a fat/cholesterol-induced coma.
