Well, I'm off to the H.S. After that I'm off to the Mighty Q to pick up my Ron White tickets, then walk around have dinner with my daughter then to the play Legally Blonde. Won't be back until around 11. It's gotten good and bad reviews so we'll see...........Guess, I'm gonna miss THE song again (damn!) Have a good day all!

I'm off today, and that means taxi'ing kids and friends to shinny and whatever else they want to do. That way they can get rides to their destinations tomorrow and Friday while I am at work.

you think they would have been more careful especially when on feb 28th, 36 cars fell thru the ice during an ice fishing tourney in wisconsin. there's no cure for stupidity.

This winter hasn't been quite as cold as it could have been, but in Wisconsin, there have been enough sub-freezing days for lakes to develop about of foot-thick coating of ice. That's enough ice for some good ice fishing, but it apparently isn't thick enough to use as a high-traffic parking lot.

Frozen anglers at a Lake Winnebago, Wisconsin fishing tournament decided to park in close proximity to one another on the ice with predictably disastrous results. Hit the jump to watch the Twin Cities' Fox News 9 and its coverage of tow trucks plucking vehicle after vehicle out of the appropriately named Lake Winnebago. We saw quite a few pricey pickup trucks being pulled out of the deep, but we're thinking the pea-green Pontiac Aztek could have been left in the lake long before the incident.

It's just a shame that at home they didn't stay "caved",
On their gluteus maximus clutching the remote,
Then there's no fishing gear to even tote,
Maybe research a common sense rule of thumb,
That going on thin ice is just plain dumb,
I guess there are those who rejoice in ignorance with bliss,
& responding to such a call must make a rescue team pi$$ed,
It has happened before & it will happen again,
Though it's not the curse of all you fishing men,
They all know better & need a good swift boot,
& they should be fined & cough up the loot.


Loocie sometimes does not understand what motivates some of the menfolk.

maybe they could do like the police do when you get a ticket, they charge an extra fee that goes into a fund for survivng police families. the $800 could go towards a fund for the firefighting resue crew & other teams that have to respond, then charge them a $2000 fine each for stupidity & to cover the rescue costs.

and my headache didn't like me and moved elsewhere. I slept until 2 am....
