Was so happy to see a new Telus commercial yesterday, several times during the Oscars - all the faves were there - the hippo, piggy, bunny, and an awesome baby cheetah.

Natalka....that about the only commercial out there that I actually don't flip to another channel to avoid! Oh, how dull would life be without critters?!!

Okay...really? There's nothing in the world that's homelier looking than a baby bird! LOL!!! Not YOURS of course....just....other baby birds....

You know I was lying on the floor in their room and watching them.
All 3 of them are huddled in one corner of the bottom of the cage, and the Mom bird is right there tucked as close as she can be to them! It makes me tear up to watch their protective Mama behaviours.
They refuse to stay in the nest now, even though I placed it down to the bottom near them.

Are you sure she's not telling them that thay'll grow into their beaks and be pretty birds one day?

Ilwym, tho'....our mothering instincts...I do think that we never outgrow our need to 'mother' kids...even if those kids are homely birdies....not...that YOURS are...however... I'm sure they're adorable...in their own way....omg, lol...stop me!

Nature is amazing, though, isn't it? As Moms we share the same nurturing gene...and wouldn't hesitate to defend our babies with our lives.....
