normally the coupon will say valid in US or valid in Canada. if it doesn't say, maybe you can just take a chance and try it anyways.

When i had a coupon that did not state whether it was valid in canada or the us. The cashier would not accept it because it had to be mailed to some god forsaken town no one heard of in the US of A.
So I would say, it depends on how sharp the cashier is. it's a 50/50 thing.
what kind of coupons are they? if they're a major brand, i can't see why they wouldn't. some are based in US no?
another thing, if the coupon SPECIFICALLY states that they will redeem the value of the coupon and shipping and handling costs to the store, then they damn well should
