it's BAAAACK! This product was voluntarily recalled in 2007.McNEIL-PPC, Inc. has announced a voluntary nationwide consumer recall of all lots of the GLACIER MINT™ and BUBBLE
BLAST™ flavors of LISTERINE® AGENT COOL BLUE™ Plaque-Detecting Rinse after the Company determined that
the preservative system is not adequate against certain microorganisms. McNEIL-PPC, Inc. has been in full communication
with the FDA regarding this issue and the decision to implement a voluntary recall. For further detail, please see complete
press release
Agent coolblue is a disclosing solution. It is a temporary stain that shows up plaque so kids can brush it away. The directions say to use 10ml prior to brushing, to show them where to brush. Rinse for 30 seconds and voila you should have a mouthful of blue to brush away.
It comes in 2 flavors, bubblegum and mint. My son loves this stuff. But we use it AFTER brushing to show him where he missed. And his main area was in between teeth. Now he does a better job flossing and he rarely sees blue stain.
the stuff works, and is very helpful to get kids to brush longer and where they need to. It is very important that the understand not to swallow the stuff. (that's why you should not give it to under age 6) If more than the recommended dose (10ml) is swallowed you should contact a health care professional.

Listerine.ca does not have it on the website yet as this product was launched in Canada only a couple of weeks ago..
The girls dental hygienist told us about this stuff over a year ago...It is finally in Canada and I found it at the Superstore and paid $4.99 for it.
It is a very clever way to get your children to brush.
They gargle for 30 seconds with this rinse and it tints the plaque blue, so they know where they need to be brushing
My girls LOVE IT and brushing teeth has gone from a dreaded chore to something they truley look forward to.
I highly recommend this product to any parents who have a battle to get their kids to brush!!!
That said, please note that it can possibly stain clothes, so use a bit of caution

you used to be able to buy them red tablets, but i think it's no longer available because red food dye is a big NO NO now a days.
don't forget to grab the listerine coupon.
i should add: supervise your kids with this stuff. it can stain clothes, but i realized, it can stain walls, sinks, floors mirrors..toliets..
my son is very messy. *sigh*

This product rocks! I used the Bubble Gum flavour and it is nice tasting. Being an adult with braces, I am constantly nag on by the orthodontist about brushing and flossing, etc. I brush, floss, rinse, but I found there were always stuff that I miss. It is a perfect prebrush solution.
I had trouble finding it as well. But, I found it at Shoppers for 3.99 on sale. The sale was not advertised, but I was watching for the product and I knew what the average price was. So happy, I bought two.
