Thread: Kraft Liv Active Cheeses

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to give my review of Kraft Liv Active cheese. I never would have bought this cheese without a coupon for starters. But $2 off seemed like a decent amount, and once I compared, it was a good enough price for me. I've watched and watched and WATCHED and I've never seem it go on sale! But I decided to buy it anyway....
The first one I bought was the cheddar. Didn't like the taste, I guess it's just me. Too processed or something. Then I went to the marble, I thought it might be a little milder. It was ok, but still wouldn't buy it again. I was just about to give up on this cheese, when I took a friend shopping, and was showing her my new couponing tricks , and she said, oh, I get those individual ones all the time for my lunch! I was like, what individual ones? The cheese isle is so messed up I guess I never saw them. Anyway, the are about $4.50 or so before the coupon so $2.50 after, about 0.25 per little individual piece of cheese. I like these ones! I take them for my lunch,. it's great! WE sell them where I work for 0.49 each, so I figure I'm getting the better end of the deal with the coupons!
So my questions to all you Scer's out there:
Do you buy/like Kraft Liv Active?
What's the best prices you've seen/gotten?

I had some FPC's a while back for the live active cheese. I wasn't impressed. It tasted 'spongy' and wasn't a hit in our house.
The cheese we prefer and buy the most is Cracker Barrel.
They also make sandwhich pre sliced packages too, which is great because my husband would buy the Ziggys, but Cracker Barrel so much better!

i buy it when i have coupons. i ask my friends to collect them for me. i like this cheese because it isn't as salty or at least it doesn't taste as salty to me.i like marble the best,if i don't have coupons i buy the regular kind . it is pricey and i wouldn't pay 5.50 for a small block of cheese. unless i found it in the deli of course. thanks for the review

I bought this product a few times because of the coupon, but won't again. It's like trying to eat rubber. Yuck. I'll stick with my usual brand of cheese, Farmer's Dairy from now on.

I haven't tried it yet, but want to, my cousin is lactose intolerant, and can't handle anything containing whey. Many foods are a huge nightmare for her, but this cheese she can actually eat without getting sick!!!
It has the same cultures as in yogurt, which used to be the only milk product she could handle. Even soy cheese often contains milk products such as whey. My son LOVES cheese, and also has problems if he has too much, so I keep thinking I should buy this instead of constantly limiting his cheese.Wins ~ $339.50 for 2008
