LOL... I thought that's where you got the idea OOOPS... I've heard her say a few times on her show http://www.designinc.ca/home/
that the best way to get a pricey look for less with tiles was to combine some plain white tiles with eye catching ones as accents. You're a natural Patty

haha, ok never saw that show but it's obviously not my original idea , everyone does it, i wanted to cut cost but also didn't want an overwhelming look. That pattern is a bit busy. My backsplash cost $300 for the tiles and covers quite a big area so I am happy.

I prefer the "guy" DIY shows like Mike Homes, Bryan Baeumler. Deck Wars, that kind of thing over the girly decorating shows. My new fav. is Paul Lafrance from Deck wars and Decked Out.

I LOVE Mike Holmes and Bryan Baeumler. But, personally, I think the real eye candy is Damien (Mike's assistant )

I'm not a fan of Sarah Richardson. Not sure why not.

Patty, I see you have the glass top stove. I got a new one a few weeks ago and find it a pain in the arse to clean. Actually, DH cleans it, I just make a mess, lol. He used to use a razor blade to scrape off baked on grime but now uses the one from Canadian Tire called Motomaster Citrus Hand Cleaner. What do you use to clean your stove?

I hate the black, what a mistake. Before I had a grey and balck speckled one that hardly showed any dirt this one you blow on it and ity's dirty.

I use ceramabrite, mr. clean sponge, for regular cleanup i use a few drops of dish soap in a spray bottle withwater but if you dont wipe it properly it streaks MAJOR PAIN IN THE ARSE, BUT it has rapid boil and 2 super hot elements one is 3000 watts and it makes cooking so must faster. I will live with the cleanup problem lol
