I too get a rush out of it...I have a couple of friends who are into it and we swap deals coupons, etc.So I can get the bragging out of my system with people who also enjoy it and I don't waste my breath on those who don't understand.I enjoy turning someone on to this stuff and watching them get just as much of a rush out of it like me.I made a coupon monster out of my sister-in-law.My bro hated me for it for a while until he actually saw the savings and it made that him come around!! Especially after they had a baby and there are so many freebies and coupons for new Mom's it was hard for him to not appreciate it!!

I understand what you mean.! My mother in law thinks there is something wrong with me (although she's nuts). I am in the process of getting my friend into it. She was skeptical but I gave her some of my personal stash and she was back at my house a week later! She is new to this site... as in a week new and she already calls herself addicted!. I feel good and glad I have someone who shares the excitement!

I try to send some of the better coupons and deals my in-laws way but their never interested, I always am shocked that they dont care that with using a coupon on a sale item you can get it for free. My mother is better though, she has her own stash and I share deals with her as well. I agree that it gives you a rush, its like an addiction to see how much money you can save! Its a good high because there is no downside to it

I have used coupons for years- No shame here- I have actually tried to share and people wouldn't take the coupons! Their loss. It's quite funny @ checkouts when I whip out my coupon book and plunk down a wad of the FPC & coupons. I love it

????? too funny. my personal opinion. why wouldn't you use coupons? i get people who say to me all the time "must be nice to go on vacation as many times as you do" well maybe if you had a budget and used coupons you could have the same things as me.

It shows how ignorant people can be. I laugh at people who aren't using them , I save a minimum of $20 a week using coupons.

That is SAD. I do not care if people think I am poor, because being poor is not something to be ashamed of. The people who should be ashamed are the ones who live excessively resulting in others living in poverty. It is shameful that we live in such a rich country yet so many people here live without basic necessities, and those who enable this should be ashamed. I hate that whole capitalist ideology about this North American dream where those who work hard have $ and those who are poor are lazy and therefore deserve to be poor. It is really messed up that people base a person's worth on this kind of status--it's like, wake up!
Like many of you, I am happy to use coupons whenever I can. I proudly carry around my lovely coupon holder/organizer. The money I save can be donated to local shelters, food banks, and other charities. and speaking of food banks, there is another reason I use coupons: they allow me to donate more food. I recently got two cereals for the food drive for $0.99 by using coupons, and have noticed that many other people on this forum also do this.
i also saw the episode of Oprah that amanda55 mentioned (I saw that they were featuring budget-living ideas and knew i had to tune in) and I was SO JEALOUS of Americans in terms of how many coupons they have available to them. I have noticed that with many big companies they will offer coupons on their US sites but not on their Canadian sites. Does anyone know why that is?

also, us coupon-users must be the most attractive because we always have that 'just saved $' glow to us
