    not sure why the painting of harper was removed - the reason given is it's 'NSFW',
    and apparently i was told that some members complained, can't imagine who but,,,,
    had to look that up 'not safe for work' - so am now wondering how anything posted
    on a long weekend's saturday morning would include work for anyone?
    oh wait work for some mods on sc - 'oh that's very different then - nevermind'
    (holy crap just looked and painting still in the rep thread - ssshhhh don't tell anyone)

    from what i could see everyone's has been enjoying the terrific looong weekend and the
    spiffy weather - glad to see that .

    i had one of those silly naps around 1 pm saturday - got up 10 ish am today, holy shoot.
    granted i do seem to be fighting off some sort of stomach flu, i think, which has a fever
    attached, but not a good idea to screw up the regular meds, ppphhhttt.
    guessing missing jagger wasn't such a big loss, although i do like live tv.

    hoping everyone continues having a terrific victoria day weekend
    if you have some spare time

    W2W === Morning

    The word morning originally referred to the sunrise but today usually refers to the period of time just after one wakes up from sleep. Morning precedes daylight, evening and night in the sequence of a day.
    Morning is the part of the day usually reckoned from dawn to noon. The name (which comes from the Middle English word morwening) was formed from the analogy of evening using the word "morn" (in Middle English Morwen), and originally meant the coming of the sunrise as evening meant the beginning of the close of the day. The Middle English morwen dropped over time and became morwe, then eventually morrow, which properly means "morning", but was soon used to refer to the following day (i.e., "tomorrow"), as in other Germanic languages—English is unique in restricting the word to the newer usage. The Spanish word "mañana" has two meanings in English: "morning," and "tomorrow."

    from now on I am wishing everyone a "Good Morwen" that should confuse people!

    My poor bad a$$ dog is hiding under the desk due the sound of fireworks going off in the distance. She is such a suck....but a lovable suck.

    I missed Roger Waters on 60 minutes. Darn!!

    Mick Jagger was respectable on SNL. He still can shake his booty & a very wealthy booty it is. I still wonder if we'll see a Rolling Stones Octagenarian tour?

    W2W === Afternoon

    Afternoon is the period between noon and early evening. The precise time at which it ends is subjective but often understood to be the time at which daylight begins to fade.
    The term lacks a clear definition because it was in use long before precise timepieces became widespread. Hence, words and phrases that refer to general periods in the day were more practical.

    In Australia and New Zealand, the word "arvo" is a slang term for afternoon.

    Just threw on the headphones to listen to Pink Floyd 'Animals' on the Q's Legends of Classic Rock. Excellent way to get in the mood for tomorrow's trip. Declan is watching Zombieland on tv. Hmmmm, his idea of getting ready for the trip is a little different than mine.
