    Quaker Rice Cakes 1.50/0.19
Saw today that Country Grocer has these on for $0.97.

That means in real terms every one of these you bought had a minimum $0.97 - $0.19 = $0.78 advantage over the cheapest price I've seen.

So if you actually eat these things if you bought 36 (the max for a day) you'd have the equivalent of an extra $28.08 free cash in your pocket.

Was also thinking about flights and this week's Quaker offer:

An off-season BC return flight to Toronto on the BMO Gold AM card is about 2,300 AMs.

5 Full Quaker offers is 2,250 + whatever shopping bonuses you pick up so pretty close.

5 Full offers on the Quaker would be 5 X $54 = $270 (I could knock $15 with Entertainment coupons)

If you donated it all to a food bank in exchange for a tax receipt you'd get up to 26% back from the Feds and about half again provincially so let's say 40% = $108.

So not counting taxes a round trip Vancouver to Toronto in off season would cost you $270 - $108 = $162.

Of course, if you had BOGOs last week's offer on the Windex was far, far superior:

That was the last week's chrispy mini deal... buy 6 @ $1.50 and get 75 airmiles. If you maxed out the deal like bob suggested over several days you could get some great flying rates.

I had the 20AM wub 2 Old Dutch chips offer that came in the mail this week. I bought 2 bags of chips and used 2 $2 coupons. For some reason the cashier insisted on doing it as a separate transaction. So my before tax total is $0 and I pay .48 in tax. The points do not show up. I went to CS and they wrote up the request but said I would probably not get the AM because I had used the coupons.
Has anyone had a similar experience? And do you think I'll get the AMs? Thanks.

Ok! I NEED 596 Airmiles ASAP... Any deals at Safeway this week? Apparently I should have checked in last week (Crispy Mini) but I didn't... Does anyone have suggestions for this week?

    Mom,

Go back a page to my list for this week.

If you have BOGO coupons a couple of the Lysol products are excellent this week.

For myself, I'm going to get the CARA gift cards. The AMs on those are equivalent to free money but only buy them if they're something you'd actually use.

Note: If you want to load up on the CARA GCs you'd have to do separate transactions. You should be able to do a $50 + $25 in the same transaction but same price cards (eg. $50 + $50) you have to do separately.

Thanks. It seems like a mediocre week for offers. I am trying to book flights to get to our cruise- First vacation with my husband in over 5 years!!!

    Just in Safeway.

The Softly TP is $7.49/4.86 vs. the Purex at $6.99/5.15

However, the Purex is 15 roll vs. Softly 12 rolls. If the sizes of the rolls are the same the Purex is a much better deal and a far better deal if you got a 50% Off coupon in the Airmiles mail out.

There's also an unadvertised B2G10 on Maille mustards $3.14/$2.61 but if you have any Gocoupons coupons that'll make it even better.

I bought a product last year (sorry, can't remember the details but I did gripe about it on here LOL) and the deal was buy 2 get 20 air miles. I purchased two but had a coupon to get one free and I only received 10 air miles. Others have used free coupons and had received all the air miles so not sure if its hit and miss!

    Mom,

    This offer is quite good:

    Lay's Potato Chips B4G20 2.50/1.97
It's only 20 AMs (up to 200/day if you buy 40 ). I buy the baked and I never see them elsewhere (doesn't mean they aren't) for less than $2.50 so to me this is equivalent to free money.

I'll actually get them for $2.25/1.72 with an Entertainment book coupon.

Also, was just in Fairway and they're selling the Quaker Rice Cakes for $2.69 with no AirMiles so the Safeway offer was pretty good.

I went to Safeway to today to buy Sunlight Laundry detergent B1G1 free and use my FPC to pay for it. Well that didn't work out, the cashier wouldn't enter the FPC for $7.60 which is the price of the Sunlight ,she would only enter it for half the price which was $3.80, I tried to explain to her that she should be entering it for $7.60 but she said if it's B1G1 free she can only enter the coupon for half the cost of the product.

I gave up after about 5 minutes and just left my Sunlight laundry detergent there.

No way am I going to use my FPC to only get 50% off.

Has anyone else had problems using their Sunlight FPC's with the B1G1 deal? or more importantly has anyone been successful doing that?
