just came back from holidays. Had a good time.
Disappointed to see a notification from UPS that I owe $17 for the books I ordered through P&P. The only reason I ordered them was because there were low in points and were free. I think I will be sending them back to P&P and I think I may not bother with it anymoreCollecting Campbell's soup labels for our school RAKs greatly appreciated.

Havent been aroud lately so here is my little update.
Patches has been really sick lately, back and forth from the vets. First it was ear mites, then a lung infection, upper respiratory infection, now she on a course of medication including antibiotics and prenisone. She was severly dehydrated so I have to syringe water into her. She just likes the excuse that I let her in my bed, and hog all the covers and pillow.
Stripes has been having a lot of panic and anxiety issues because of Patches. Shes been coming and going also had to be seperated from the other animals. Toppie is gaining some weight, and fitting in nicely now, little skiddish but fitting in slowly.
Not sure if I introduced the new member of the family: Marco!
I adopted him from the Humane Society a few months back. He has anxiety, and seperation anxiety. He was originally from Montreal, adopted 3 -4 times and brought back numerous times. He likes to chew, and a grrumpy fart. He;s coming out of his shell, but he likes being alone (none of this kids cuddling, and so on). So it works with my life as having the cats with hiim, his anxiety is fine, he just chews if you leave him too long.
For me Im still alive, all tests came back normal. According to my doctor everything is simple painful periods (yep all my issues), but clearly no reason behind it. He put me on the depo shot, so more or less everything collects dust, stops working and we dont have any issues. Not complaining as most of the pain went away, and well I dont get that dreaded week each month. I have to go for a blood transfusion, and a iron transfusion, I was referred to the specialist waiting on that. Several times a year for the rest of my life, since my iron will not go up with any pills, liquid, or shot it actually went down. I am waiting to get into my GI for an appointment, that is up and down right now but it could be caused by the stress with Patches.
Currently working 3 jobs, and looking for a 4th. I am staarting up my own business, and have 1 client on a regular basis. My day job Canada Post may not be any longer as soon as AUgust. They are laying off half of the workers across canada (yep thats right and none of us can collect unemplyment so dont worry). So I dont want to come to August and not have a job as I cant afford loosing the one, yet the government keeps demanding me pay the $2,000 in taxes from Canada Post (yet we cant collect unemployment when they lay us off - explain that). I dont want to hit the rush and be going mad when half of canada is out of work. I am looking at going back to school for animal care worker or vet tech just need the money to do so.Please! thanks for the new words (((hugs)))
scrapbookingoasis...I am sorry that you have been charged for postage on your prize
I don't understand why some of us are charged post from PnP and others not. I so far have been lucky, but if they started to charge post I would send mine back also..
maybe it is determined by where we live, (Alberta here) though I have no idea why that would factor into it, as long as we are in Canada
nice to see you again Ricki911
have a wonderful Sunday Everyone!

I have really been wondering if this whole thing is worth it. I've been doing it for so long now and have been saving so my points get high enough for a premium prize but everytime I look there is nothing there. I am just beginning to feel if I'm really wasting my time. Any thoughts on this???

I'm feeling the same - I spent a lot of time entering points for some books (that generally sell fairly cheap on Amazon) and now have a tax/duty bill for them. Do I really want to pay for books I normally wouldn't have bought...of course not. So now those points are wasted and my time entering them wasted

Exactly my thoughts. I make way more doing swagbucks. I cash in for 5.00 amazon.ca gift cards and I let my balance add up and when there is something I want the money is there. It never expires and now they sell so much more then just books. Last Christmas I got a fair amount of my shopping done with them. Especially when my kids are older and want video games, books, etc.......... But now seriously you can order just about anything from them. So to me I'd rather order the books I want then having to buy what they select. Like I said I have been doing this a long time. A few years anyways and am just feeling like I'm wasting my time. I hate programs where you feel you invest so much and get nothing from it. Just my two cents!
