Oh boy. I cannot WAIT for supper tonight! We're having corn on the cob roasted in the open fire. It's been soaking in the husks since 11am...AND...it's the best local sweet corn around. Never had corn this good ever except from this one particular farm. I'm drooling just thinking about it.
...and some hot dogs to go with...which, isn't exactly the sexiest fare to go with the world's tastiest corn on the cob...but hey...the weinies were $1.00 a package...and THAT'S pretty darned sexy to me too. LOL"Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

was gonna make vegetable lasagna in the crock, but it is far too hot today for anything inside,so i am making homemade burgers on the grill, maybe some broccoli and cauliflower salad(good for lunch leftovers too)
1 head cauliflower
1 bunch broccoli
2 small onion, sliced and separated
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled(optional)
1/2 cup cubed cheddar or whatever cheese.
cut all the broccoli and cauliflower into bite size pieces, mix all the other ingredients and pour over salad.mix well.chill.

pasta to finish up the sauce that has been in the fridge for far too long! It was still good but I needed to eat it up just because it was the oldest thing sitting in there.

Tonight was takeout Chinese food - we needed a change, and it was yummy. Enough for tomorrow, too, always a bonus!
