Hi Jennrav,
It is hard to get a good deal on a hotel in Banff during peak season, I know, I lived there. It's hard to get a deal on anything actually.
But I would recommend the hot springs hot tub in the morning (it gets filthy by night), going up the gandola, visiting Moraine Lake near Lake Louise, driving to Lake Minnewanka and using the alternate route back, same thing actually going to Lake Louise, use the alternate route one way.
If you like to hike, the spray lakes hike from the banff spring hotel is great. not to much hills, almost no chance of bears.
Above all else, getting up before dawn and getting an early start in Banff is great. You'll see all the animals before they hide again, and the cool mountain air feels best early in the AM.
