I am moving shortly so my son decided to take the cat because I can't.
The cat spent the day at his place for the first time yesterday. Late last night someone drove by the apartment building where he lives setting off firecrackers. Now my son can't find the cat. He lives on the second floor of the building so there is a chance the cat jumped off but he didn't see what actually happened because it was dark and he was startled by the noise himself.
She is a long hair tortoiseshell with a white underbelly. Very skittish around strangers especially children. Her name is Fudge. This thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by momof3heathens; Fri, Aug 17th, 2012 at 05:23 PM.

Thanks.
He had to work from 2 til 10 tonight so hasn't done anything yet. I have posted on used victoria and Kidsinvictoria so far. Called the CRD pound but nothing. I am really hoping that she is hiding in his apartment somewhere. He says he looked everywhere inside for her but cats are cats and it is crazy some of the places where they decided to hide out.Zoombucks are back: Please consider using my link to sign up again: https://zoombucks.com/?ref=IIHO0L

bump. Please keep an eye out for her. She loves being petted but only if she comes up to you. Children scare her.

I don't know colour copies prices so no recommendations. So sorry that you're going through this and I hope the lil one returns home soon.
BTW, I go to the nearby esquimalt medical clinic and they seem to get a lot of foot traffic so maybe they'll put up one of your posters. Also maybe Cats Cradle or another of the rescue societies will put something on their website. Also this website listed another animal control number aside from the CRD to contact: http://www.vacs.ca/find-missing-pet
Please keep us updated...really would love to hear that you found her.

Curious but do you think that a sanitation worker would consider her brown and white? According to the department they found a small brown and white cat on the street where she used to live. I am hoping not but.

Will they pass along a photo of your cat to the person who was working on the day the other cat was found. My thoughts are still hopeful and with sadness for what you and your son are going through.

I honestly don't know. The woman seemed rather abrupt in saying that the cat found was on Lampson St which I live on(missing from Sussex St)but couldn't say where on Lampson and that it was already at the landfill. I am keeping my hopes somewhat up as crazier things have happened when it comes to cats showing up.

Yes some people can be abrupt on the phone. I suspect they get a lot of calls so they are rushing and forget how emotional this sort of thing is. Is the pickup crews Esquimalt workers or a private company?
I regularly catsit at a friends place in Esquimalt and that lil fellow is always getting food from other houses in the neighbourhood. It's completely possible that your lil one is hiding and getting some food nearby.
Do you have a electronic copy of your sign... If so feel free to send it to me and I'll print and post it in the lunchroom where I work.
