Bumping this so everyone sees it.
The person I "traded" with continues to log on to SC and post. Its been over 21/2 months since the initial trade. I've left her a negative rating, pm'd her a bunch of times, left messages on her profile, posted to the negative trade thread and STILL nothing.
PLEASE everyone, check a potential traders rating BEFORE you trade, people like me leave negative ratings to protect others from being scammed.Always interested in trading!

Thanks for the suggestion.
It happened to me too. She had a very good trade rating before. I don't know what else I can do. I gave her negative rating since she ignores both private messages and visitor messages for months. The person I "traded" with continues to log on to SC and post. Its been over 21/2 months since the initial trade. I've left her a negative rating, pm'd her a bunch of times, left messages on her profile, posted to the negative trade thread and STILL nothing.

I never check the trade rating for the person doing a trade. And I have lots that I didn't receive over 2 - 3 months, I don't let them a bad rate trading, that happened to me with three persons until now, I send my envelopes and they don't reach the other person after months and half or two months, but the other person write me told me what happened and I got other similar envy to the person, they usually got the sencond envy before the first envy. Don't forget that CANADA POST is in strike and they usually loosing most of the normal envies on the way....
Thanks.

Canada Post may be slower because of the rolling strikes and work reductions (though, to be honest, I haven't noticed anything slow at all in the past 2 weeks during all the strike nonsense. What I do notice is that small packages are being left at the post office to be picked up, which NEVER happens normally because our office signs for them.) They haven't stopped completely. There isn't a nationwide strike yet. And I highly doubt they are losing most of the regular mail.
In the many, many, many years I've been mailing stuff nationwide, selling on eBay and esty, shipping all across Canada and the US - everything from packages to envelopes and cards - I can count on one hand the number of times something went missing. And usually it was just really delayed. Maybe ended up in the neighbours address. Maybe had the wrong postal code, or short on postage. It's happened twice with something I've sent out - maybe 3 or 4 for stuff I've been receiving (so I can't actually verify it was sent at all!) It's not commonplace, and there's no reason to think it will be.
Not leaving bad feedback for a 3 month old transaction that went bad isn't a good thing either. Maybe you don't want to tarnish someone's reputation, sure. But what about those people who are going to proceed to trade with someone, only to get screwed by them as well? You may have a great stockpile of coupons that you don't care about one or two - but some people are carefully working with limited trade lists to get what they need. Losing out by sending a dozen coupons and getting nothing in return isn't right, and shouldn't be happening. Feedback gives people the information they need to make and informed decision or take a calculated risk, if that's what they decide.

It wouldn't hurt for people to check the Blacklist once in a while to familiarize themselves with the usernames and addresses on it.

I Wasn't think in that, you are all right, This is the first time that I do a tradings and use de mail post, and yes I don't want to do a bad person gave the wrong trade, but you are really right. I have lots many mails and some are for people that did a trades before to me, for that reason I think the mails are lots on the way and don't reach the mail box.
thanks.

It might be lost, it might not. You never can know for sure. If people don't follow up on e-mails etc. though, it's a pretty good indication.
I believe in benefit of the doubt and giving a fair chance. But if months pass? Without a really good reason or attempt to rectify I think it's worth a negative.

Definitely communication is the key, Canada Post do lose envelopes even when they are not striking, and they can be slow. An honest trader will say give it a few days/weeks (dependent on how long, I had one trader threaten to leave me a neg after a week because CP says 2 days in province and then it showed the next day and she apologised) a bad trader will just keep giving excuses or ignore you all together

If I traded with someone, never received my envie after a few weeks and they weren't answering my pm's, i would definetly leave them a negative rating! What do they have to hide if they actually sent it. If by chance i received their envie a couple of months later, i would ask one of the mods to change the rating... if that's even possible!
