Thread: Demo upright freezer
-
Mon, Sep 24th, 2012, 02:06 AM #1
The Brick had a $429 upright freezer on sale for $299, and the guy sold me the demo for $259 ($160 savings)
Even better, I will save almost $100 a year in energy costs over my older HUGE deep freeze!!
Even more better, I quickly sold my old freezer for $50 and 2 big men came and hauled it out of my basement.
Even much more better... I won't waste as much food. So much stuff got lost in that massive beast, but the new upright everything can be sorted and placed in an easy to reach/see spot.
Even wildly much more better... I have more room in my basement!
The only bad news is, my fat lazy orange cat enjoyed sleeping on that old freezer. Oh well. This thread is currently associated with: The Brick

Awesome! We don't have a freezer but we have 2 fridges, both of which are pretty much crammed with food. My cat eats raw food and I just bought a month's supply, all of which is in the freezer except for the current day's portion. For her alone, I wish we had a big freezer!

Anyone else click on this thread because they thought they would see a YouTube vid of vesper demolishing a freezer???
I did.
A great deal. Congrats vesper! I love our newer smaller freezer! Wish ours was an upright."There are more important things--friendship and bravery...."

If you are in Saskatchewan, SaskEnergy has a program that they will pay $50 each (limit of 4) and pick up old fridges and freezers. Must have a fridge though ie) fridge +3 freezers. They will not pick up if it is just a freezer. Freezers any size but fridges must be over 5ft. tall.

This is a great deal. So you paid $259 - $50 for selling the old one = $209 + $10 for a new cat bed from Giant Tiger (my kittys love their beds) = $219 for an amazing upright freezer and new bed for fat orange kitty
Jealous, so sick of taking everything out and digging into the bottom of our freezer only to get one thing and have to shove everything all back in again. Its even hearder when your a woman and you have a chest that gets in the way when digging to the very bottomInsert Clever Signature Here
