Thank you to my city for bringing in these enormous recycle bins - I do love the concept of waste reduction and all but you are ruining my recyce walks!!
If you see feet dangling from the top of a recycle bin I have fallen in - please just pull me out!!
Thats my rant - I'm off to buy a big pair of tongs from the dollar store so I can extend my reach to the bottom of these ginormous bins!!

ha ha !! I don't mean that really, but all those posts I read about about all of you going on your walks and I could NEVER do that because we have had these " hold a full grown man " type receptacles since forever it seems. Our small curbside boxes went the way of the dodo ages ago.
Now what? A challenge for sure.

We got them last year also not only are they huge, green and ugly but our city has a bylaw that you cannot keep bins in the driveway or have them visible to the street but these monsters are so big people cannot fit them in their garages so they are all in front of the houses. Idiot city. Thanks for the new ugly visual.

I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

If you use the garbage pickers that the street cleaners work bet that would work better than tongs lol.

Luckily I am in Delta and we still use the small bins, all our organic waste can go in a separte organics garbage can or in with the yard waste.
