Yes, I think so when you compare the price of an egg or sausage McMuffin. However, I've never had one so don't know how it tastes, but I don't think you can go wrong with paying that price. I remember eating one of those crappy breakfast egg type of sandwiches on the airplane on a chartered flight to Mexico or Cuba & it was awful, give me my McMuffin any day. I do like the McMuffins, but can easily make @ home, but if I'm out & hungry, I'll get one & ask for a softer yolk.

Lol! I tried on Friday afternoon but it was busy the entire time. I'm not sure how the store will feel about taking them back since I cut the back of the box out for the gas card! I'll try later in the week otherwise they will be joining me on my biweekly trip to Safeway on Friday. Thanks for the heads up!

Totally OT (except I believe Safeway is donating).
My wife and I are hosting a dance in support of the Victoria Prostate Centre and Movember. One of my friends, a fabulous artist in her own right has been arm twisting other artists to donate work as door prizes.
I just received word from her that the following painting has been donated (among others) by an artist who is a prostate cancer survivor. I was so impressed I just had to display it:

Unadvertised airmiles special-
Gerber graduates toddler meals and snacks, buy 4 earn 10 airmiles. The pricing is usually OK at $2.84 per package. The same product varies in price from $1.97 to $3.27 at walmart but is usually sitting around the $2.47 mark.
Seems to be at all the safeways in my area, 3 out of 4 weeks per month, every month for the last year or so.

Been away all day on business so I'm a bit behind the curve.
2 Items of Note for next week:
1. B$125G150 & B$200G300 coupons
This says to me that the reduction in the value of an AM is affecting Safeway and they're trying to bring back customers with offers that are a bit gimmicky.
To the Safeway corporate spies:
100 AMs a year ago were worth 13.90
Today 100 AMs = $10.50
The extra 25 AMs after spending $125 brings it to $13.13 which still isn't better than before. You'll have to try harder Safeway. (Yes, I've factored oi/out the fact you have to spend an extra $25 too).
2. Friday Specials
Lucerne butter 2 for $5 (limit 4)
Strawberries 1.99 each (1lb.?????) (limit 3)
Coast to Coast Rye Bread 4 for $5
T-Bone Steaks 5.99/lb (limit 4) NOTE: I bought this last time. When I opened the package most of the tenderloin portion of each steak had been cut off so this is any "iffy" offer.
Signature Soups 3.99 (limit 4)
9 Stem Rose Bouquet $5 (limit 3)
Lod Spice/Olay/Gillette BW 2 for $5 (limit 4)

I have changed my shopping habits in Safeway over the last year or so due to a few factors. Love the Airmiles but the value has gone down. Prices have gone up. I now shop usually at 2 stores sometimes 3 for groceries each Friday (chore day) depending on price/quality/savings overall. I don't like Safeway's ads where you cn be tricked- ie meat where they price it by 100 grams or per steak instead of pounds. I find the meat not as good as Thrifty meats (personal opinion). There are still deals I will take advantage of but my spending at SW has gone down probably by 1/2 or more. I won't com close to spending $125 at SW this weekend- not worth it to me after looking at the flyer/needs. Typically I average around $200 a week- sometimes closr to $300. Quality is important to me so not exactly looking for cheapest but always looking for value. This I think is where SW is falling down on.
