For all the NHL fans out there:
I can't believe I got Chris "Knuckles" Nilan's autograph, The Enforcer for the Habs. I went to see his movie The Last Gladiators and he was there to talk about his movie on his tour in TO. I don't even watch Hockey, I was sort of forced to watch because I have 3 bros and a dad who love it. Anyway I was overwhelmed by the situation and didn't go up and talk with him I didn't even know who he was. but I got the tickets as part of my birthday present and wanted him to sign my ticket stub he was so inspirational and changed my view and respect of the players and the game, that's a feat in itself to get a hockey hater to respect the game OMG, can't believe it myself. I really regreted not talking to him there cause of the social butterfly that I am. I ended up Facebooking him and the last gladiators movie site asking if I mailed my tickiet stub in a self addressed envelope and stamped would Chris please sign my ticket and mail it back. well I thought it's a long shot don't even know if he lives here in Quebec or in Boston Mass. where he's from. I got a response from the movie people saying they would get in touch with his PR people and said they were pretty sure he would do this for me. I eventually got a response 2 weeks ago from his girlfriend Jamie she gave me the address to send my ticket stub and believe it or not I got my ticket signed by the one and only Chris "Knuckles" Nilan today. Couldn't believe it . It goes to show if you ask nicely you can get pretty much anything you want. He has started an anti bullying campaign which I offered to help out if I could. He travels around North America Inspiring the young people about the dangers of heavy drugs and tells his story of winning the Stanley Cup in 1986 with the Habs and getting fired for telling the new coach to f off. he spiraled out of control in to pills and eventually getting into Heroin and when he woke up with a needle in his arm in a puddle of blood he said that was it. and has totally cleaned up now. He went from having everythingyou could of dream of having to rock bottom but he made an amazing come back. I was so inspired. Anyway take a breath Cath, here's a pic of the autographed ticket stub.
