This brag, my first, is dedicated to helpit who I know reads this forum. Now this is a little itty bitty mini brag compared to the massive ones on here. As much as my Mr. likes to call our linen closet the "Shoppers shelves" bc the toiletries have taken over the towels, I really don't stockpile, certainly not to the degree many of you do. It's my Mr., 2 cats & me in our house.
In the summer I discovered the thrill of price matching, & I've been enjoying PM adrenaline on all my grocery trips I started at walmart, but now I exclusively price match at Superstore bc a) most importantly, they take coupons with the price match & walmart didn't b) it is conveniently located and c) the self serve checkouts are quicker.
So tonight I came home high on my PM maneuvers :
MAXX scoop cat litter, $4.97 PM at Price chopper, $5 off coupon = free.
I used one of my many many FPCs that expiry Dec 31, Vaseline Cocoa butter lotion $4.49 = free.
Edge shave gel, $2.47, $3 off coupon = free
Skintimate shave gel, $2.47, $3 off coupon = free
Ristorante pizzas, $2.88 PM Food basics, $1 off coupons = $1.88 (They were reg price $5 at Superstore! )
Wheat thins sweet potato (which are very tasty!) $1.98, 50¢ off coup = $1.50
I also got reduced (bc they both expire Nov. 15) WW Wonderbread 50% off = $1.35
and PC organic field greens & herbs salad 50% off = $1.50
When I showed the Mr. how I got free stuff for everyone in the house tonight, he just chuckled , but I know he's secretly impressed with my price matching, aka my new found frugal find.
So I just may not be a stranger any longer to this brag section...This thread is currently associated with: Food Basics, Price Chopper, Real Canadian Superstore RCSS, Shoppers Drug Mart, WalmartLast edited by Karabana; Mon, Nov 12th, 2012 at 11:44 PM.

Walmart wouldn't let you price match and use a coupon at the same time?! I'd have suggested you called and spoke to the store manager as whoever told you this was lying to you. You could of gotten overages on those shave gels!
I also stocked up on the kitty litter as its me, DH and 3 kitties. Nothing beats free kitty litter. I guess one could compare it to people getting really cheap diapersInsert Clever Signature Here

Yes! It was basically a FPC.
The 1st time I did a PM & also had a coup, the walmart cashier said you can't, as they're already giving a PM. It didn't make sense, & I know with these things it depends on the cashier, but I didn't bother trying it again, I really don't like the hassles at walmart. When I used my FPCs for hair colour, a cashier tried to charge me tax, & it was a big rigamarole waiting to get the mgr, take off the tax, etc.
I really like how Superstore cashiers know what they're doing, they all are trained on how to PM quickly. Besides it's on my route home, so no driving out of my way. I've also PM at No Frills with no problems.
Q on buying a product with a lower price than the coupon: I know I read someone saying a store gives you the remainder of the money back. What store? (don't say walmart )^Easy free stuff yo^!
