Thread: Price Matching and coupons

I had two poor experiences this past weekend. Zellers honours price matching so i brought in a walmart flyer. They were happy to do the price match but told me after price matching they will not take any coupons....Well then i would just go to walmart if they were going to be very difficult. I asked the associate to contact the manager and she refused. I then went straight to customer service an dthey said it wouldnt be a problem...so i went to the cash and I had another problem.
Went to Walmart last night to do a price match with no frills cheese at 3.97 and they wouldnt take my coupon after price matching. I tried to explain, if i bought it at 3.97 at no frills they would still take the coupon, so if you are honouring your price match policy this would also be in effect.
Funny how some cashiers will do it and some like to argue.

I had the same problem at Zellers with price matching and coupons. I wrote to Zellers and they e-mailed me back saying that YES I can do both as long as the coupon is not more than the price of the item!!!! I carry the print-out with me now every time that I go to Zellers. They can't argue the point anymore.

Is is too much for a cashier to do a pricematch????

The SPC card is the Student price card where you get discounts at select stores, usually 10-15% off purchase. Of course there's fine print to this, excludes appliances or whatever. Zellers and the Bay offer 10% discount.
