If you do swagbucks and get Amazon gift cards or do any online shopping at all then you better be an Ebates member and go to their site first to link to your shopping site.

I do not buy much online but I do some at Christmas for Black Friday and Cyber Monday then on Boxing Day.

Ebates tracks your online order through the other websites and mails you a cheque or deposits $ directly to your PayPal account based on a percentage of your online purchase.

Recently my husband purchased his hockey team's jerseys from Hockeymonkey.com and got $ back. I purchased Entertainment books for myself and some for Christmas gifts and I am getting $ back from that. I also cashed in my Amazon gift cards, went to amazon via ebates website and I am getting more money back.

I will be getting a cheque back for over $100 just for going to Ebates and linking to my online store first. You can shop Ebates.ca or (U.S).

You do also get a referral bonus of $5 for each person you sign up so if you are going to take advantage of this awesome site please do so via my link in my signature. It would be appreciated.

    Gotta love getting cash back!

Why do some stores have "Up to" in the rebate percentage and others don't? So if a store is "Up to 5%", what is the cash back rebate? And for amazon.com rebates I have to have account? For amazon.ca I have to have ebates.ca account? I'll have to set up 2 different ebates account just to shop at both amazon US and CAN?

I'm not too sure. I only used it for Amazon.com and it worked for me. There are different terms and conditions depending on how much you purchase, that's why it's up to. There's a certain tier you have to reach before you get the max discount.

It seems that only certain things like baby stuff gets a rebate from amazon, not all departments. I believe that is why they have the "up to"

I shopped at Amazon.ca and I got the 4% on my entire purchase of electronics, DVDs and small kitchen appliances.

I see this thread is not very popular, lol. I have been a member of Ebates since last year, but just tried to purchase something online yesterday. I must not have done it right (I went to their website, found the adidas store, clicked on it, and went about my shopping and purchase)

The only thing I can think of is that Ebates directed me to the adidas.com website, and I changed the country to 'Canada' (so adidas.ca) ... didn't think it would be an issue since it stated Ebates.ca CDN dollars. Anyway, I don't see any money in my 'account' on ebates... is there usually a couple days delay?

Help a newbie on ebates out, lol. Thanks in advance

I've used Ebates for about a year, and yes it can sometimes take a few days to post your rebate to your balance.
If you have a problem, you can go under My Account > Tracking Tickets (on the right hand menu), and check if it tracked your visit to the Adidas site, and you could use the ticket number as a reference if you needed to inquire about the situation to site admin.

Thanks for the response. Hopefully I remember to keep using this website for anything I purchase online. It's not much, but any little bit helps I think!!

I don't see the money yet, but I did get a response back from the Ebates people, so glad to see they are on top of answering (slightly stupid) questions lol

I also noticed that a 'bonus' $10 gift card that I 'activated' a couple months ago is still showing as 'processing' ??

Has anyone actually ever been paid out by Ebates?

i've been paid out before, via what they call the 'big fat check' in the mail... lol i think mine was around $6, but like you said every little bit helps. my next one should be around $30 because of a few referrals i did, and i recently switched my pay outs to go through paypal so we'll see how that goes

Got my Big Fat Cheque today from Ebates. Just over $36. Not bad for redeeming my free Swagbucks Amazon gift cards and buying some stuff for my husband from Hockeymonkey as well as my cheap Entertainment books. Stuff I was buying anyways. Off to the bank!

So which is better to join the .ca or .com option? Can you access all rebates regardless of which one you join?

I'm going to STOP using ebates if I purchase anything from Amazon since they don't give you any cash rebate if you pay with using gift certificate
