I'd like to introduce myself to the Montreal Couponers
I followed my Husband to Pierrefonds last January from the GTA and it is quite a culture-shock for an Ontario couponer.
I still coupon like crazy but we don't get any inserts in Pierrefonds for some reason, plus even if there were there are those huge green bins so I couldn't dig out the inserts. Back in Mississauga I used to take my dog for a walk around to all the blue bins with me and easily dig out the inserts on garbage day but that is not at all possible here.
Do any of you live in my area? Any tips to give? I am interested in becoming involved in the couponer meet-ups here and improving my skills in this region - I also have some interesting experiences to share, to say the least lol. I also have alot to contribute
I don't know if any of you are involved in charity here but I've been donating my stock pile to my amazing community Church and we are always looking for more members and more help
Hope to hear from you soon!

Welcome to the community!
I guess each neighborhood is different regarding inserts and bin hunting.
Can't wait to meet you at the next meet-up

Welcome to Montreal !
I get my inserts with the Saturday Gazette (home delivery), if that's any help... also from time to time with the yellow "Sac Plus". No blue bins in my neighborhood either, but plenty of tossed "Sac Plus"...

hello and welcome from the north of Montreal..I don't bin-hunt since bins are supposed to be on people's property rather than the street.

No bin hunting possible in Laval either since we have those large wheeled ones (not that I would bin hunt anyways, not my style!). I get the inserts in La Presse, but if you don't speak French, then it's not very useful! They should be in the Gazette (in English) from what I gathered here.
If you're not too shy, maybe ask around your workplace, your neighbours, ... to keep the their inserts for you. Many people throw them away. Even if they are in French, coupons are so simple that you should be able to understand them (we'll help you), and you will not have any issues using them in stores around you.

I live in the Pointe. Yes, I could bin walk if I wasn't such a chicken. Though a lot of people are starting to use bags, and I'm seeing a few bins with lids, too. Still quite a few open green ones, though.
Hey, I've been blogging: Nifty Thrifty!
