a lot of stores require quite extensive documentation though, like store flyers and store phone numbers and such..
sometimes if a store with a good sale is too far, your local store where you go to price match might tell you that they dont consider the sale local and wont let you price match :|
best of luck !

Thanks for all the good list. Especially the extensive list from Koala What about some specials like Saturday only kind of thing? Will stores even consider to match that?
I do have mixed experience with the first two price matches I tried at the same WalMart. First time went smoothly, second time the manager is a big pain, and only match item with the exact picture on (e.g. Dr. Oetker pizza, might have a picture of chicken type, then she won't match for a veg one) even though in the flyers the detail part mention the product name without limits on types

From my experience in Hamilton they look at the picture in the flyer and the item you want to price match has to be identical with the flyer. For Sat. only specials buy what you want to on Saturday regarding price matching. Couponmom

Wal Mart once tried to tell me it was only the item in the picture and would not allow me to pricematch.
I called the manager and he assured me that was not the correct policy. If coke products are on sale for example, all coke products should be price matched, not just the coke and sprite shown in the picture (because ALL the coke products would be on sale at the Competitor's store).
I have actually noticed since then that I have not had any problems at Wal Mart.
Sometimes you can even get a cashier to price match things that MAYBE aren't supposed to be on sale. For example there were Stouffer's Bistro Entrees on at Foodland this week, but the Panini ones were not included. Wal Mart still price matched them for me.

MissDayle, you had better luck than me. Guess my second WalMart experience is just terrible due to the manager of the day. I've sent WalMart complains online, I will see how they will respond to that.

when Wal-mart matches a price, is it only with a specific store? Example: Walmart SuperCentre will only price match with A&P, but not Sobey's.....or is it matching prices against ALL grocery stores?

I think wal-mart matches all stores... I don't know if they match for produce (like fresh veggies/fruit) tho...
