Ok....totally new to AM's here...but I was going to try the Kellogs deal tomorrow: B5 get 50 AMs...I think that works out of a $5.00 value (based on the 100 am's for $10 gas card).
So I wonder if I can buy 5 Kellogg's cracker chips (3/$8.00 which makes them about $2.66 each-$1.00 coupie= $1.66 each soooo $8.30 for 5 but get $5.00 worth of AMs= $3.30/5 or .66 each)? and do the FPC's count as an item purchase? so if I used 5 kellogg's fpcs would I get 50 AMs?
Thanks for any input!
J

But the Kellogg's Crisps are Limit 4 I think. She mentioned buying 5. And yes FPC's work. I do it with cereal alot. Spent 0 and get 100AM's (got FPC's from Kelloggs because of the Mini-Wheats metal mesh fiasco).

Based on the exchange at Shell and with Gift Cards an AirMile has an exact cash value of ten and a half cents ($0.105) so 50 Airmiles is worth:
$5.25
On flights the value can be 2 or 3 times the cash value but you have to evaluate flights individually.

Ya, I noticed that it was 95 AMs=$10 gas but it was making my brain freeze up to do the extra calculations!! Haha!! and my kids are too little to fly anywhere (without gagging and binding them up first!) so the gas is a great option for me.
I have a bunch of coupies for the kelloggs from the Wagjag deal so I was going to do a couple of trips and mix up the products so I don't go over the limit.
Thanks so much for the help!!! I think I'm on the track to AM success!
I would love to know about the giftcards/gas promo...if they count towards the $50 if anyone figures it out.

Bob if I flew I would most certainly be saving points to go on trips. I think it is awesome how you can double and triple your miles on a trip! LOL I just wish I could do that on groceries!
I get gift cards to reduce my OOP on groceries... unfortunately AM's are not accepted as cash at safeway. This is the reason I get the GC's. For the way I shop it works fantastic. My budget is very tight. When a deal comes up that isn't in my budget and it can get me AM's that is when I go get a gift card. This is in fact the awesome thing about airmiles. You get to choose the way it works best for you.
I would like to add that if Safeway hurries up and gets the AM's cash acceptance program on the go (ahemmm corporate peoples) It might help bring in loads of customers that have been cashing in point programs at other grocery stores like Superstore and Sobeys.
