I get the Everyday Market cheese, eggs, and butter all the time, and they're perfect. I also like the Life Brand equivalent for Neo Citran. I recently got a canister of the Everyday Market hot chocolate when it was on sale for $3, and it's just as good or better than the Carnation stuff. Before I tried the other hot chocolate they have that comes in kind of an orange box (Nativa?), and I can't remember why exactly but I didn't like it: I think it tasted bland and made me feel slightly nauseous.

For those that care, Quo is not cruelty free. SDM doesn't test the final products but the individual ingredients may be tested on animals from the suppliers.

Great idea for a thread. My favs are apple sauce, garbage bags, coffee filters, drinking straws, arrowroot cookies, paper towels.

Take them back to the store you purchased them from. Anything Life Brand or Shoppers Drug Mart brand is 100% satisfaction guaranteed. They have to refund it.

Love the life brand version of zincofax for baby's bums. Reg price $8.99 but always goes on sale for $2.99. Versus like $11 for the actual zincofax. As an FYI, I used to work at sdm back in the day when employees discount was cost. The markup on sdm brand products was insane (I'm talking 300 - 600%). For example, the 100 tablet LB ibobrufins at cost were like $2.40 but retailed for $15.

Still cheaper than the brand names, unless you manage to get a good sale :D

I like the Balea face masks. Didn't realize that they were SDM brand. I buy them only when they are on sale.

Thanks everyone for your very informative posts! I will definitely check out the SDM food products for which you gave favourable reviews.

Thanks for the thread! Great idea.

We eat everyday market tuna and eggs all the time, and they're fine.
I prefer Tetley's orange pekoe over the EM version of orange pekoe tea.

I tried Lifebrand's electric toothbrush head on my Oral-B and found that the toothbrush head kept falling off, so I returned the toothbrush heads. I got back full price, if memory serves me correctly, per their money back guaranteed policy.

I also find Lifebrand's tissues a little rougher than I'd like, so I stick with Royale or Scotties.

I love the Nativa organics mini ginger snaps.
I didn't like their orange pekoe tea either.
LB version of neocitran was a big dissapointment when the neocitran stock wasn't available anywhere.

My house is becoming filled with SDM brands because 1. I buy them on points days, or 2. I use my points to get free things! I like the SDM brand zipper bags - all shapes, sizes, freezer, sandwich etc. I get the recycle bags, garbage bags and kitchen bags (they actually smell nice). Sugar, eggs, oils are all great. I love the Nativa organics dried fruits and/or nuts. Balea shampoos go over well with the kids, and the paper towels that go on sale can also be found in my house!

Totally love Life tissues - 3 ply only, and their paper towels.
In a pinch when we can't get Royale TP cheap, Life TP is pretty good.
