The $125 spending to get 725 bonus points doesn't seem to be a good deal. On the same page, you could by 10 loaves of marble rye bread (@$1.99 each)with 150 bonus points when you buy 2, spend only $19.90, get 750 bonus point, of my math is right

Their point system didn't just go downhill, it jumped right off the cliff.
I won't be spending $125 to get back $5 in points. I see maybe a few point deals I'll be going in for, but nothing spectacular. I used to be exclusive to Sobeys, but I haven't set foot in there for a few months I bet.

Like any other reward program, you have to know your prices and stick to them. I agree I won't be buying $125 for 725 pts. Perhaps just a couple of the bonus items.

I won't be spending $125 but I sure will be going to sobeys to spend my money because I should be getting back quite a bit of money for not much OOP. I'll have to do my quantities and calculations and see what I come out with. Will update this post soon.
EDIT:
Okay so what I had was Minute Maid Juice Cartons $1.99 (cheapest for the week compared to other stores) + 200 BP WUB2
Mc Cain Pizza 2/$7 = $3.50 each, cheapest pizza on sale this week, really a rock bottom price + 100 BP WUB2
Diet Coke 6X710mL $1.99 + 100 BP X14 = $27.86 + 1427BP= $10 off next time = $1.28 each (copied and pasted from my list)
The diet coke is the cheapest at Sobeys this week and is a much better deal then the cans at freshco (I worked it out)
Hope maybe this helps some others out there. I am no longer getting the pizza and juice anymore though because I will be "buying" these items with my SDM points redemption instead.

some good BP deals, there is a limit of 3 for the pepsi/coke 6 pack, will buy
pepsi 6 pack x 3= 1.99 x 3, and will redeem 5$ worth of points, so for 1$ + tax i wil get three pepsi 6 pack and 300 points
my trade list and wishlist, check it out, tons of tearpads

The pop at $1.99 is about as cheap as it ever gets ($1.88 on occasion) - and since I pass Sobeys to and from work I genuinely have no problem stopping off and grabbing 3 each trip. We have a pretty big excess in grocery this month as we've been eating through our frozen meat supply, and our soda stockpile is quite low (we have a number of pop drinkers in the family) - so I'm more than happy to rack up 2100 (roughly $15) points in exchange for $42 worth of soda this week.
