Sorry, I didn't watch the video, but I think that's terrible. Where are we going to get our $5 off Safeway coupon now? I'm guilty of receiving my Entertainment book in December & haven't used any in there yet, but DH has used a few of them in there. I was waiting for the weather to get better and use some of the coupons towards outdoor activities with DS. Now that I know the book may not be around next year, I will definitely make use of a lot of the discounted activities while I can. Thanks for the heads up.Last edited by Saving Moola; Mon, Mar 18th, 2013 at 03:50 AM.

The deal that I am enjoying the most this week at Safeway (although it doesn't involve Airmiles) is the Quaker deal. Whenever you buy any 3 Quaker products you receive a free Tropicana Orange juice. So I have been buying 3 boxes of Quaker Granola Bars (on sale for $2 each) and receiving a free carton of tropicana orange juice (valued at $4.99). I believe this deal runs until March 21st.

Also, this week in Safeway Liquor stores (Alberta only, I believe), Spend $100, Get 150 Airmiles.

With these B$100 AM coupons my earlier math on the cereal for donation to the food bank works again. If you've got the time, please consider it. I'm sure they'll appreciate it.

Re: The food bank thing.
Check with your local FBs first as not all give tax receipts.
In fact, every accountant I talk to says "in kind" donations can't be accepted. It must be cash. However, I do know my FB will issuw a tax receipt in exchange for the grocery receipt.

Yes, they should be able to issue a tax receipt IF you have the grocery receipt to go with it. That is required. Can't just show up to the food bank and declare a value (as it's likely people would declare a higher price than they actually paid). The receipt shows the actual outlay of cash and verifies the value of the product.
