If it were me (and I'm not you) I'd be inclined to go with a self directed TD eFund couch potato portfolio as someone suggested in the thread above.

If you're not aware of what a Couch Potato Portfolio is at it's simplest you pick 2 low fee Index Funds: Canadian Bond and Canadian Equity and put the same amount in each 50/50. Once a year rebalance. So if the split has become 60/40 add enough to each so that the balance is again 50/50.

Takes a couple of minutes a year to do and you don't have to be a Guru to do it. The beauty is that it always forces you to buy low.

More info on the Couch Potato Portfolio:

Thanks OB & Emax. I'll look at it more in depth. The bad thing is that I have the Moneysense magazine & forgot all about the couch-potato thing. I never thought about doing this instead of the trust fund.

On a side note, man I had a lot of typos & poor grammar in my last post. That's what a 3 yrs old does 2 me when I'm trying to type & play with him @ the same time.

I also have a bunch of e-auction codes if anybody wants them.

Thanks OB!! As always, much appreciated! Cream cheese price isn't so bad with the air miles attached. I find its so expensive at Safeway, even on sale. Time to throw some in the freezer for all those summer dips/spreads!

Actually, that's midnight your time, Bob; 3AM ET; either way don't think there are any 24 hour Safeway stores in Canada, so no rush

I use DropBox to store my Las Vegas pictures, books, etc., online. It works on every device/computer that I use, and gives you 2.0GB of storage for FREE. Use the link below, sign up, and you and I will both get an EXTRA 500MB of storage, for FREE.

Kellogg's seems to rotate from B5G75 to B5G100 on a somewhat regular basis but you're definitely on about Duracell.

    I'm waiting for a B5G100 on Kellogg's.

Ya the reason I asked was because I got the day off tomorrow and have to take the wife to work in the morning so I have to leave the house at 630am central and there is a safeway by her work and thought about hitting in the morning after I drop her off.

Just saw our local flyer and the cream cheese is $3.00 here making it an even better deal. (Sorry BC folk!)
