Value Village had 50% off of pretty much everything today so I went and got my daughter stocked up on summer clothes! We run a tight budget in our house, purposely, as we want to buy a home asap! So everything is done with coupons, sales, and planned ahead of time, making every penny count, so this was awesome!!
1 pair of shoes
1 rain coat
1 Oshkosh Sweat Suit
3 Dresses
10 Shirts
3 Skirts
7 Shorts
1 Pant
1 Jammy Set
All for 30 bucks!! I am one happy mama now, knowing she is going up a size any time now. Happy Shopping!!This thread is currently associated with: Carter's OshKosh B'Gosh, Value Village

Awesome! Value Village always seems to have really good kids clothes -- usually name brands and very clean. You did great!

Hooray for budget stretching!
Your Value Village must have better prices than mine-- so those 28 items would normally cost $60 -- $30 with 50% off? Average $2 each regular for $1 each on sale? Am I reading that right? Can you post a receipt? I'd love to see it, because I just can't quite believe that Value Village would have prices that low on decent items!
I don't typically shop at thrift stores, as their prices (especially those at Value Village) tend to be high. I'll buy items for $1 at garage sales, but I really love buying cheap (and new!) Gymboree straight from the website or store at the end of season. $3.50 shorts and tops are wonderful, and sometimes you can get items for under $2.

My day went askew and I didn't make it. Those deals you got are awesome! Congratulations on your "buy a house asap" plan! You are well on your way with plans like the ones you outlined.

Good job! It's getting harder to get such good deals.
I went to VV a few weeks ago for rubber boots for my daughter and found 1 pair for 6.99. She needed the boots so I bought them even though that was too much IMO to pay for secondhand. I went to the Salvation Army store right after that. The exact same boots there 1.99.It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.
