Ok I have a question =)
When a train conductor write Replace $ for $. What does this means ? Do I need to replace the 12.50$ that I took with 12.50$ of coupons or do I need to replace each coupon by a coupon of the same value ?
Thanks

Usually if the conductor writes "replace $ for $" it means if you take out 12.50 you must replace with at least 12.50 in coupons (not necessarily the exact. ie, out .50 - in .50). That's how I do my trains, I'm happy as long as the end result is the same.
Some conductors do want the exact amount of EACH coupon replaced but they usually write that in the rules if they do.
On the other hand, all trains usually request that you replace FPC's with FPC's and BOGO's with BOGO's etc (FPC = Free Product Coupon. BOGO = Buy One Get One).
If you are ever unsure just PM the train conductor. They wont mind clarifying for you. HTH

thanks for the explanation. I'm new to the site and would love to join a coupon train. I have lots of coupons that I won't use (I take all that I can find), and would love to pass them on in hopes someone else can save with them!

this is a very clear and helpful explanation to newbies (like myself!). I do appreciate seeing some newbie-specific trains that help us to get started! I'm new to the whole coupon train world, but having received one train so far has been great and so helpful to my budget!
Coupons ARE like free money!
