Dentist appt went ok, far better than next week's will go, that's when the torture session begins. Eeek!

I stopped in at the shelter to pay for Lily's licence. It took a while, cause the folks in line in front of me were undecided on the kitten they were adopting (they went back and forth on whether the kitten would be lonely while they were at work, so ended up taking 2 kittens home). While this was going on, an individual with the sweetest Mastiff stood behind me. The poor dog had advanced stage cancer and her "human" (I use the term loosely) was dumping her at the shelter cause he couldn't bear to watch her dying. Sometimes I really hate people.

I think I'll be haunted by the Mastiff's big brown eyes for a while. Better go squish the brats and disturb their beauty sleep. That's the best cure for all ailments.

"it" is a cruel evil that Cares not Who it takes... Human and Animal (Family by All Names).
I Know not what Pains me the most... the selfishness of this sad soul or the sheer abandonment of this Poor Creature.
A Fellow Soul that may never Understand "Why" He was left alone... alone to Face His Fate.

The sad-one will have to live with himself (if a conscience be there) for the rest of his days.

Sometimes I hate people too Andi!!!, like every week I go to the H.S. and see all the dogs and cats that have been abandoned by their so called Human

Aww, that poor dog, which shelter was it??? Some would try to get him fostered out for palliative care and not left like that to die, hopefully they at least do that much....sad very sad, how you could do that with your loving pet in his time of need .....well, I'll never know.......I go along with what Wolfie said..................
