I purchased Go Fish Fizzing Bath Sand for my 4 year old who was being an angel with me shopping in Superstore.
After reading the label and using it a dozen times I'm very happy with it!
Link to the manufacturer's website... http://uppercanadasoap.com/product_d...=0&item_id=930
Details:
A small pail of (strongly) scented sand and a little scoop.
Once the bath is full use the scoop to sprinkle the sand all around. Bath fizzes and turns a very bright blue.
It's intended for 3 and up and my son who is 4 LOVES it.
It's MADE IN CANADA by the Upper Canada Soap and Castle Makers
Based on how much we've used and how much is left i would guess 350 g pail will provide us with 50+ uses.
Ingredients:
Sodium BIcarbonate, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride, mineral oil, parfum, sodium lauryl sulfate, calcium silicate, seaweed extract, tocopheryl acetate, FD&C Blue #1, Aluminum Lake, FD&C yellow #5, D&C Red #30
Price:
I think I paid the outrageous amount of 6.99 at Superstore (Sorry i can't find the receipt!). I think it's a bit pricey. Though if i get 50 baths out of it that's 0.14 per bath - even if i only get 40 baths out of it that's 0.175 per bath.
Cons:
I won't use this with my daughter as she drinks crazy amounts of the bathwater and there's a lot of dyes in it. Also while the shovel and pail is cute my son is not very good at keeping the shovel dry, which makes for lumps in the sand.
Bottom Line:
I will buy again and I will try other products. This thread is currently associated with: Guess, Real Canadian Superstore RCSS

It fizzes you say? Cool!
Now c'mon, tell us, have you tried a bath in it yet?
I'm not a kid but that sound neat even for an adult.
Might be theraputic or just plain tingly fun?
Does the container say whether product is non-toxic or not?
Thanks! Might make neat gift item?

Well the colourings are definitely listed on the toxic lists for ingestion... i'll give it a try and let you know what it's like - but i won't taste it
