Supper tonight will be Shake & Bake chicken breasts with mixed rice and corn on the cob and an onion and tomato salade. Easy because im baking up a storm making a banana cake because i have some very ripe bananas and making 3 apple pies and also will make a couple of jars of Cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving.

I did a crockpot of chili last night and now have 5 containers of chili to eat! Two are in the fridge and three are in the freezer. That will be supper for the next three nights since I have class and need to leave my place at supper time. It will probably also be supper next week too when I have class and possibly the week after depending on how many servings I can get out of one container!

Tonight I'm on my own so something simple. And will plan the rest of the week's meals. Boneless chicken with broccoli and rice/potatoes tomorrow night I think. Ribs and homemade fries/salad on Saturday night. That's all I have planned so far lol

I made chicken pot pies yesterday and we ate them today. This is not something I normally make, I tend to be a failure at pie crust. But I found a recipe that actually worked!
DH did not think he liked chicken pot pies. DS saw them as I was about to put them in the oven, asked what they were. "Chicken? In a PIE? That's DISGUSTING!"
I reheated them in the oven, didn't think the pie crust would survive the microwave. DS said he liked the crust, but then got to the inside and thought it was gross (he had to eat his piece anyhow). DH revised his opinion on chicken pot pie, he really liked it!

I have FINALLY tried perogies, after all these years of hearing about them and reading about them (here especially ). They were delish ! Really the type of thing I love to eat. I happened to see them in the frozen section on sale, I had never ever noticed them before. So I picked up a box and loved them. Next step, making them from scratch. I served them simply with brocoli on the side, and raw carrots for DD

I'm reading a lot of the "eat up all the left overs" nights..
we don't have those .. left overs usually get used up in lunches for DF and I and the really good ones go when I'm alseep and DF has a late night hunger (boredom according to me.. ) .
So very rare we have left overs for dinner. At most we will re-use a side with a new meal since I can never seem to calculate rice right lol.

tasha, leftover nights are pretty rare around here, too... son usually takes leftovers for lunch. I cook meals for six, even though there are three of us - son and husband eat lots, so usually there aren't leftovers. However, husband hasn't been eating as much lately (I worry, because he's already skinny...)

Supper tonight will be Scores restaurant. Hubby has a late appointment at the hospital with Orthopedic specialist, so no point in cooking. Besides, i like a night out for supper once in a while.

Was lucky enough to have a leg of lamb given to me but I have to cook it today as it has been defrosted! I butterflied it and it is marinating.I love lamb but haven't cooked many large cuts myself so I hope it turns out. Serving it with a spinach salad and roasted Greek potatoes. I have dough rising for homemade pitas so I can make lamb pitas for tomorrow as well.
