Becks, I've had this problem repeatedly at SF too. Mostly with the "multi-buys" better price and using a coupon. Since most of my local SFs have gone to scanning the product to link to the manufacturers coupon, it's been an issue. I've FB'd with Safeway Canada and gotten a non-helpful response. A helpful cashier indicated to always have your Club Card scanned first, but this hasn't solved the problem. The customer service desk has given my laughable responses..."you can't stack coupons"; "the system is giving you the best deal", etc. I've pretty much given up SF shopping for these type of advertised deals. I've kept a few interesting SF receipts, and hopefully I'll get organized enough to post them for some feedback.

i was overcharged for some toothpaste a while ago (was on for $1 WUB5 or more) and i had $1 coupons, so it should have been free (aside from tax) and I ended up going back and refunded almost $7. The woman at customer service said it was because they scanned the product and entered the coupon that way, rather than just hitting 'mfr coupon' button. When they scan the product, it does not register the "multi-buy" ...they should be refunding you that extra money.
    Hope that helps....

I went back to my usual Safeway store tonight and again had problems with the toothpaste. After spending a while there, the main thing I learned was that the coupons need to be processed at the end, not mid-way. Also, linking the coupon with the toothpaste didn't result in a correct total. Calling the manager didn't help 'cuz they didn't want to get involved or spend the time to listen to the issue.

I think, when their coupons state "limit coupon per transaction", it's possible to buy more than one item using that one coupon.

The magic erasers could be a very good deal if the p&g coupons are decent. If there is something like a $2.50 off wub2 that is a good price.

I need to go through the safeway flyer... a lot of these prices seem high this week so maybe there are some good non airmile deals.

^ You can stack the last 2 coupons with their matching counterparts here (which expire 30 days from printing):

Smiles huge... I think I did quite ok last time thanks! (Bob outs himself here as the inspiration behind my 1 K in savings in Aug) LOL If we utilize them when we get them and stock up we don't need them every time. I have got to fly to shoppers here... there are some rockstar deals today... if you printed off the lindt chocolate bars on facebook and have the save 20 when you spend 60 and have picked up a $25 gc with airmiles you get a whole lot of free stuff (6 free lindt bars! I don't feel so bad about not getting one freebie out of safeways last pull cards now!)
It is a one day only $20 coupon... cya's when i get back!

I see this week's Red Plum insert has a $0.50 Barilla pasta coupon (last time it was $0.75).

Barilla has been an unadvertised B3G30 @ $2 each special a couple times in the recent past.

If it happens again with coupon it would be $1.50/0.45

    Keep your eyes open.
