I guess GCs for groceries or comparable cosmetics would drag customers away from their store...

One question: Say I want to buy $450 in gift cards. In order to maximize the points, do I have to split it into 3 separate purchases of $150 each?
To clarify, yes it's a minimum of 2 cards totaling $150 but you only get 8,000 pts per transaction. so yes, split them up

Oooooh, good thinking. I would love this!

Just fyi, in the past some people who reloaded instead of buying new cards had trouble getting their points. I know the first year HQ told me it had to be new cards. But last year it was supposed to be ok.

I cut back on many cards I bought last year but have since bought more than I cut back. It really made me realize how much I spend at SDM!

That would be so awesome as I do the majority of my grocery shopping (and gas) at RCSS or no frills and with PC points starting soon at RCSS...I would be a very happy camper!

I would use all my SDM GC to buy PC GCs if they had them and would take almost all my shopping away from them as well, so it would not be good for SDM if they did.

If you purchase with your RBC Optimum Bank Card, you get 8000 + 1500 (optimum) + 1500 (RBC card), so 11,000 points. Which is roughly around $25 if redeemed on a mega redemption!
Definitely how I'm doing it this year!!

I think the RBC card would give you 2250 points not 1500. Which is even better!

When I went in tonight to buy 0.99 chocolate milk and chocolate bar, I asked the store manager if he knew anything about it. He said no, he hasn't read anything in the memos recently but told me to keep a lookout in the flyers. The manager and I are quite friendly as I'm a regular customer there.
