When I am super busy cleaning up for a family get together and my DH says... "Is there anything I can do to help?" OF course there is something you can do, clean something... lol My DH can only do what is on a list, if he is left on his own he spends more time trying to figure out what to do than actually doing something

Ironic that they won't read directions for stuff, but if it's not on the "Honey Do" list, they're baffled!


I have the same problem with the BF. He seems genuinely surprised when I point out the things that seem glaringly obvious to me that need cleaning... "Oh...of course, I didn't notice that!".

People who feel the need to repeat the "funny" parts in movies SECONDS AFTER THEY HAPPEN. I don't need a play-by-play. I was there too.

My husband does this. It drives me crazy.

This is verbatim from a conversation I had with my husband:

*baby goes down for nap, he is on 3rd day off work sitting on couch playing video game*

"Hey, can you give me a hand tidying up a bit?"

"What do you want me to do?"

"I don't care - look around, see what can be done and do it."

"Well, why don't you make me a list."

"Because you aren't 12, just home from school and being given chores by your mother..."

"Oh. Well, I'll do the dishes."

"You just watched me do the dishes?"

"Well, I picked something and it isn't good enough for you - so why don't you just give me a list."

"..."

when you say 'why didn't you.... (eg. do the dishes)'
he says 'you didn't as me to'.
