Having to go all the way 2 blocks to see if they kept my credit card. Yes, they kept it. If they gave it back, it wouldn't have been missing. Grrrr. But they offered me a makeover. ok. I don't look bad, but am happy to test drive the fall line.

freaking people thinking just because I live out in the country that I need another pregers cat dropped off.

of course you do silly. Aren't you over run with rodents living in decrept old barns falling down all over your yard...or in the springs of very old rusty machinery...or maybe in the sod of your living room roof?

walking into an exam, confident in my knowledge of sociological theory, sitting down prepared for page upon page of questions. and am presented with a sheet of paper with four (rather obscure) questions about things that were rather undiscussed within the coursework and instructions to write a 1200 word essay on three of them.

I think I failed. Like actually failed. worst part is, I won't know for weeks. I am slightly in shock and slightly ticked off about the entire thing.

That's rotten. I know exactly how that feels.

I have a vague memory that it doesn't matter how badly you do, it's how badly you do compared to everyone else who wrote the test. Maybe you didn't do as badly as you think, unless you wrote "I am a fish" 400 times, like Arnold J. Rimmer in Red Dwarf.

Profs will swear there is no such thing as a bell curve, but there is. Oh yes, there is. And it's wonderful. :top:

i agree with the sparrow...ride that wave to the top of the bell curve!
the prof cannot have a whole class of failures. he/she will have to adjust to make it right.

btw - long weekend traffic is irritating.
