Well, I chose 'sometimes' for this one because I have every intention of returning to my vegetarian ways. I used to be for about 7 years and then my doctor put me back on meat (I wasn't eating properly). Then I got pregnant with Baby J. and I had massive cravings for liver, kidney and beef on a whole. I stay away from red meats now, but I still eat chicken. One day (hopefully) soon, I'll cut that out too.

Oops silly laptop..ugh..wasn't too sure where to vote. I'm a vegetarian as in I don't eat any meat or fish at all. Imho that's what a vegetarian is, not those people who still eat chicken or fish (no offence to any who think or live otherwise). I had a friend once who loved red meat but ate only chicken as he felt "chickens are stupid" !!? Me if I was going to eat something I would totally pick a pig as nothing beats a slow cooked bbq rack of ribs or some bacon in a grilled cheese sandwich....I am not vegan though. Vegetarian is hard enough as I LOVE meat and really don't like veggies much at all..but pizza without cheese ? Wow I admire people who can do that but it most certainly isn't me...anyhow I'm rambling but I voted "vegan" as I don't eat fish and also don't eat white meat.....

I give praise to vegetarians... I like vegetables, but I definitely love meat too much to give it up. I am disturbed and sad with the thought of all the animals slaughtered so I can enjoy mea,t and wish less of it would be done. I was just curious where everyone else stood on this topic.

Are you a vegetarian?
No
I've considered it/Wish I was
I like meat too much... don't think I could do it
Yes-Vegan (don't even use animal products; no milk, eggs, leather etc)
Yes-Just No red meat (still fish, milk eggs, use leather etc)
Sometimes
I'm vegetarian. But you do not have a category for me. I do not eat any flesh--any flesh--(even geletian.. :S Starburst have this in it :S...so do marshmellows!) Chickens, fish, shrimp are alive just as much as Betsy the cow! I will not eat anything that contains them, even broths.
I eat eggs only in things...think breads or cake.
I will eat dairy...but prefer soy products (soy milk is what I have) The only soy cheese I have found has rennet..which perturbs me!
I also don't buy leather.
Generally, call myself lacto-ovo vegetarian, stating the above stipulations. There is no category for this...although it tends to be the most common vegetarian.
Other forms (as Rayangirl notes) of "proper vegetarian"(although some vegans would not consider these "proper"):
- ovo vegetarian (eggs)
- lacto vegetarian (dairy)
- lacto-ovo vegetarian (eggs and dairy)
- strict vegetarian (no animal products in diet)
- vegan (lifestyle term to imply avoidance of animal products in all aspect of life)
Then others:
- pesco vegetarian (will eat seafood/fish)
- polo vegetarian (will eat poultry)
- semi-vegetarian (will not eat red meat)
- and then those cutting back on animal products for various reasons

I eat some meat but no fish. I have pet fish and I'm sad when they die, so I can't eat fish. Makes me sick.
I don't eat other seafood cause I think it's gross. Looks like bugs and tastes like dirty fishtank water. Bleh. (Not that I've ever drank dirty fish tank water, just smelled it.)
I eat beef, pork and poultry. That's it for meat. I don't eat anything that's been hunted like deer, moose, or poor little bunnies.
I wont eat lamb, veal, or Cornish hens. If I have to eat it, I want it to at least have lived it's life first, not be killed before it's even done growing.
I also couldn't be a vegetarian or vegan, because I try to stay away from Genetically Engineered foods, and most of N Americas soy is GE.

Do you think the lion thinks about the Gazelle's feelings?
Personally I hate waste. At least mostly everything on the animal gets used.
So many people do eat meat I'd rather see it on the grocery store shelf then people going out hunting Deer and other animals that have to do the repopulating themselves, instead of us breeding them for the purpose of eating them.
I'm all about the meat. We eat some form of meat every night.

I loves me some seafood...and chicken... beef... wild game (hey, I grew up in Sask and the family hunts!)... Not as big a fan of pork in non-ham form, but will eat it.
