#Scam Alert
We have heard reports of a phishing email targeting Bell Canada customers. The emails asks for credit card information.
Bell notes repeatedly on its website that it will never request personal information, like credit card numbers, in an email. >> http://ow.ly/tj7jV

Calgary man says he'll donate entire $40M lottery win to charity
Last Updated Tuesday, December 17, 2013 8:01AM EST
A Calgary man who won a $40-million lottery jackpot says he will donate every cent to charity.
Tom Crist found out that he’d won the Lotto Max jackpot in May, but did not claim it until Monday. For months, he didn’t tell anyone about his big win – not even his kids.
Crist told CTV Calgary that he is putting the money into a family foundation he started, which will distribute funds among charities he chooses to support.
He told other media outlets that cancer charities will be on the list, because he lost his wife to cancer two years ago.
Crist plays both Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49 by subscription, paying for his tickets a year at a time. The numbers on his tickets are checked by the Western Canada Lottery Corporation after each draw.
Crist said he was on a golf course in Palm Springs, Calif., when he received a call last spring telling him he’d won $40 million.
After the initial shock, he said he put the prize out of his mind, deciding to “deal with it” down the road.
With a report from CTV Calgary

I Received a Scam-Email Stating that Tom Crist is giving me $1.2 Million. {LOL!!!!}
-DELETE-
"Email purporting to be from Canadian lottery winner Tom Crist, claims that the recipient's email address has been selected to receive $1.2 million. The email claims that Tom Crist is giving all of his winnings to "charity, individuals and organisations".
The email is not from Tom Crist. It is an advance fee scam designed to trick recipients into sending their money and personal information to criminals. Mr Crist really did win a very large lottery prize and he is indeed giving all of his winnings to charity. However, he is not distributing the money to strangers based on the random selection of their email address."

Good morning, everyone.
Lily dog insisted on acting like a puppy yesterday, so we had to go out and play in the snow. I spent most of the day flaking on the couch, trying to thaw out.
So very happy to see the sun - too bad that the summer temperatures haven`t arrived yet.
Hanging out with the thespians tonight, so better get going. Lots of doggie cookies to be baked before I`m allowed to leave home.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
