I'll trade you for my cold, Patty! I'm SO done with it! I get one every few years, and invariably, because of my asthma, it turns into bronchitis then pneumonia and it hurts! This time I'm obeying my doctor's former orders and staying a little quieter and resting...Disneyworld is only 4 weeks away!

Rewarding ourselves for a job well done, even if it means that 'this week' we posted a loss, doesn't mean we use foods as rewards. For every 10 lb loss, I buy myself a new (read: not cheap, lol) lipstick or nail polish, so here are a few ideas from a Sparkpeople email I received and thought I"d share with you...
- Give yourself permission to take a nap.
- Visit the library or bookstore all by yourself.
- Have a guilt-free home spa afternoon.
- Sleep in!
- Take a selfie to celebrate your progress.
- Spend an hour away from your phone or computer.
- Eat lunch outside or at least away from your desk.
- Clean out your closet and donate all your too-big clothes to charity.
- Post your progress on social media (or SparkPeople) so your friends can celebrate with you.
- Take a bubble bath.
- Drive to a beautiful neighborhood or park to walk instead of taking your usual walking route.
- Use smiley face or star stickers to note milestones on a wall calendar hung in a prominent place.
- Make your own ribbon or trophy.
- Make or buy a refrigerator magnet with a motivational quote.
- Take a vacation day from work to do whatever you want!
- Unwind with a movie of your choice.
- Plan a night out with your friends.
- Buy a lottery ticket.
- Subscribe to a fitness or healthy cooking magazine.
- Get a new driver's license photo. (Don't lie about your weight.)
- Download a new fitness app for your phone.
- Buy a new workout song.
- Get yourself a bottle of fancy shower gel or lotion.
- Pick up a new plant for your garden.
- Invest in some moisture-wicking workout socks.
- Get fitted for a new sports bra.
- Try a new shade of nail polish.
- Get some new shades for outdoor exercise.
- Come home with a bouquet of flowers.
- Try a fresh hair color.
- Buy a small personal blender for smoothies and protein shakes.
- Order a pair of high-end wireless headphones.
- Invest is a fitness tracker to motivate you even more.
- Sign up for a charity walk or running event.
- Splurge on some nice yoga pants.
- Go for a mani/pedi.
- Treat yourself to a massage!
- Take a cooking class to up your game.
- Get a new hairstyle.
- Get fitted for workout shoes at a running store.
- Go for a flashy piercing or tattoo!
- Start a charm bracelet.
- Get your rings resized to fit your smaller fingers.
- Plan a weekend getaway with your significant other.
- Adopt a dog so you'll always have a walking buddy.
- Hire someone to clean your house so you have more time to hit the gym.
- Try a fun exercise class like Zumba or pole fitness.
- Book a session with a personal trainer.
- Schedule a professional portrait shoot.
- Two words: Dream vacation!

Oh Lynn!! and Curt!!! You two are killing this! Congrats to both of you. Been away from the computer for almost 3 days now, THAT is a record of some kind.
Some other stuff has filled my days, but as far as the weight loss commitment goes, DH got a wake up call about his health the other day.....so HOORAY!!! No more freaking carrot cake baking from him.
He, DD and I have made a pact. No junk or sweets will be brought into this house. The 3 of us started a new mean green juice regime yesterday. I told them I will prepare enough for 2 days and leave the jugs in the fridge. Help yourself.
I am NOT policing anyone, we are all aware that the change has to be for us individually.
Oatmeal only now at breakfast, with a few granules of Stevia, cinammon, fresh berries and my Rice Milk. Sipping my lemon water again too. ( baby steps )
Was so lucky to find whole large cabbages on sale @ .99 each, bought 4. We're replacing white potato and breads with this now. ( ha ha and no I don't mean making a sandwich with cabbage leaves) Just trying to have our dinner plate more veg and no starchy foods. Maybe finally I can purge this house of unhealthy carbs.
babies teach us acceptance

Morning, Walks...sorry to hear that it took a 'wake-up call' for your hubby to stop his baking ways; I hope it's nothing serious. Sounds like you're all on the right track, and it means SO much when our significant other is on the same page as we are, doesn't it?

YAY, YOU!!! Awesome loss! Doesn't it feel wonderful? I just squeezed into a pair of white jeans 3 full sizes smaller than when I started. If we're counting all numbers (and why not?! Lol) it would be 6 numbers! I hope to do a little less squeezing by the time we leave for Disneyworld in early April...
Um....are you a mosquito, now? Expecting spring, are we?

I just took my blood pressure, and it's 119/78. It's never been this low, and might explain my dizziness and weakness lately. All caused, I'm guessing, from my weight loss. I think my BP medications will have to be adjusted; after-all, I was 50lbs heavier when that dosage was prescribed.
We see our doc on the 29th, so he'll know what to do, but jeepers, I don't like feeling like a new-born kitten. I try to do something, then have to sit down and rest! Even trying on my summer clothes today was an absolute chore! Who pulls a sweater on then has to rest in a chair?!
I may drop one of the pills tomorrow to see if I feel better....weird....
