Cashier almost always asks me if I'm interested in the deal of the week but when she doesn't, I don't say anything. I figure the cashier works darn hard for her pay and I have a sneaking suspicion that she ends up not so good to her boss if the customer gets the deal for free. I wish the Superstore would find another way to market these items. Just my thoughts on the topic....
So many coupons....so little time!

I too, have never been able to ask for it for free if they forget. Usually I have to get a manager to override for the # of coupons, or I've had to make them adjust a price (or 10!). By the time I'm done, I already feel guilty for holding up the line. But I have no problem at all asking for a SCOP when necessary. That to me is totally different!

I honestly don't know if someone will get in trouble (i hope they don't), but almost every single time, I ask for a SCOP because they overcharge. I think it's a good thing to make sure the stores stay accountable to the prices they advertise. Most times, they immediately change the stickers or the sign as soon as somebody asks for a SCOP, so I kind of feel like I'm saving other people money too!
