All of my near by Save-Ons do price match. So if yours hasn't done so yet, I am pretty positive they would.

I'm wondering if Save-On allows pre-pay like Safeway does.

That way if there are not enough items on the shelves or in store you can take an item to a cashier and prepay for the others and get the points immediately, for example,

Take 1 Carnation to the cashier but pay for 6. You'd get 2 x 2,000 pts. immediately and get a receipt to pick up the other 5 later.

It might not be an issue at Save-On as, based on my one experience, it seems points can be entered manually at the cash register. Airmiles at Safeway can't be entered this way.

you are right, they enter them manually, so technically they can do it...
but, doubt if they allow Pre-Pay... have to check...

I got 6 cans today... and last 4x Gap options gift cards from Staples sale / 4x$50 ones for total $160/

Woohoo! My SOF had oodles of carnation canned milk. Bought 24 and 6 crisco shortening and made 20,000 pts. I'm set for the year (again--last year carnation came on for $1 and there was those glorious $1 coupons that came out.) Also picked up 3 more Danone yogurt so I can mail in the upc's for a $5 MIR. Looks like I have to check out the SOF every week. There are deals to be had--you just have to be a good sleuth to find them (or be friends with the right people ).

Found out tonight that you can't redeem your points at the till like you can at RCSS. They have occasional specials which the till will and the cashier will ask you if you want to take advantage of it and redeem some points. They also have certain basic items, like butter, bread, potatoes I think which you can redeem points for anytime I believe. So in taking advantage of the carnation milk for example, yes you will earn 2000 pts this week wub 3 cans, but you still must pay the OOP amount.
But that means I can save the points for something fun--like a flight someone warm

Throughout the store they post grocery items that can be free or reduced with points - usually not a great deal however they can be useful in certain situations - I love to redeem for ground beef when using the old El Paso kit coupons, acts as a FPC.

I'll most likely make use of the ferry and hotel offers. Higher value points and I know with the hotels I'll get a cash receipt I can claim as a business expense. (Yes, I've cleared it with my accountant. )

    April 4 - 10:

    B$100G$10 gift card or 4,000pts (Apr. 5 - 10 only)

There are also B$100G2,000pts. & B$200G5,000pts. bar coded coupons. Whether these can be combined with the B$100G$10 or 4,000pts. offer is anyone's guess.

I'll use an average of $2/1,000 pts (yes, I know some of you use lower but some of the GCs are above $2 so this is just to give a general idea of possibilities. The first number is the price in the flyer. Second number is the price after factoring in the value of the points)
