Cdn Tire has an aluminum type card wallet that is supposed to block RF waves so that can help you not pay for someone else's purchase with your chipped cards! Think it is under $4 or so in those impulse buy bins in the main aisles. Or near batteries/flashlight section.

When I had the quick pay feature disabled on the debit card, I could only use the card at banks/bank machines. Card would not work for retail purchases.

So if some of you have disabled the tap/pay wave/pay pass via your bank card chip but can still use your debit card at stores, let me know how that is possible!

The technology is bringing new meaning to the ad line"whose hands are in your wallet?"

On the debit card? I've never had an issue with my card and I had the feature disabled when I got my new card a couple months ago.

It really is important to keep your cards in one of those sleeves, I know my bank has nice blue ones that protect the chip and the swipe. If you keep your card, both debit and credit, in one of those sleeves, it not only protects people from swiping your information, but from your chip getting destroyed and unusable.
