AIR MILES® Toolbar - (currently no AMs offered w/ this)

Has anyone noticed that several of the GCs Air Miles used to give at $25 are now $50 minimum? I was saving my AMs to cash in for GCs for Christmas etc. I usually give a $25 GC with an item. Do you think that places like Zellers and Cara (i.e. Harveys) I would be able to use the $50 to buy 2 @ $25? This is annoying... But, free AMs are still free AMs

yep, I noticed this in January and wasn't oo happy to see the change. I too was hopping to get a bunch of GCs at the $25 level. Don't know if you can use a GC to buy smaller denomination GCs...would be happy to hear an answer on that...might vary by store.

But ya, in the end, it is free so no complaints here! they do add up fast!

I gave this toolbar a third chance, and it's still horrible. Uninstalled and never coming back again.

i haven't got my Feb. toolbar miles yet. anyone got them?
also, my balance was reduced by 6 miles, when i checked my transactions, i found my shopping miles from airmilesstore.ca disappeared, i contacted them, and i got my miles back without any explanation, but at least they listened,

I asked at Zellers if I could use a $50 HBC GC to buy 2 $25 HBC GCs and she said it shouldn't be a problem. yay!

This toolbar takes commitment and nerves of steal to run at the best of times. I'm still running mine but each month I have to contact them for 60 days before points owed.LOL

I think I need to start actually writing down how many searches I did for which month. I did get my january airmiles, but I only got 5 and I thought I should have gotten 100, but I don't remember for sure. I haven't gotten my February airmiles, but now I can't remember if I should have 25 or 30 miles coming for that one. Guess I'll have to start keeping track of it so I can bug them about it if they don't show up or are wrong.

There is a max of 30 miles per month. So far I haven't had any issues getting my miles. I did have troubles installing it on our desktop, so I have resorted to installing it on the laptop. Being a new mom, I've been using the laptop more anyways. Upto 10 miles for this month so far

It keeps track of how many searches you've done right on the toolbar.

it's still a poorly written piece of code. it causes more problems than it's worth.

What problems does it cause? I haven't had it very long but so far no problems at all, only free airmiles . I don't like the search engine as much as google, but that is my only problem with it. Definitely worth it in my opinion, I'll get roughly a $50 gift card once a year just for regular online activities. People having problems with invalid searches... try just doing regular searches? I search the weather everyday and it counts. Even searching 'hotmail' or 'facebook' or 'google' will get you miles. Try just searching whatever sites you normally go to, it doesn't take long to type and the searches add up quick.

Me, I never got my 30 Air Miles for November I e-mailed them today. Will see I'll never reinstall the toolbar, I had too many troubles with this toolbar

This is my own quote I didn't receive the answer for the missed November's AirMiles and I called them (3 weeks after my e-mail). They adjusted it manually (added my 30 missed AirMiles) They told me that they has a problems November, December and January, that's why some of us didn't receive the AirMiles
Finally, I decided to reinstall the Toolbar but in IE (usually I use Firefox). Like this I'll use IE only for the search (I saw that in the tips at the begining of this Thread)

Have I receive a confirmation e-mail when the month finish? I saw something like this in the thread but I can't find it now
