My parents served liver, all the kids ate it (and still do), but I cannot. Just can't. I can cook it and love the smell, but the texture grosses me out.
While my Mom loved to eat it, she could not cook it, was too grossed out I think. But if we went to a restaurant that had it, she was absolutely ordering that. My Dad enjoyed it too, but with a history of heart problems he rarely had it.

Tonight, very garlicky pork meatballs in homemade tomato sauce, so yummy. Sad it was the last container of sauce in the freezer...

Sauteed some ground pork with spices and dill, added sweetlet peas to cook a bit, then added mushroom soup and a bit of water to make a cream sauce - stirred in leftover pasta.
Gee, how simple, but how very yummers!

1/2 box of skinny fish sticks, french fries, fresh veggies with dip and a glass of milk.
LO really liked these skinny fish sticks, so I am thinking about buying more at Sobeys before the sale ends.
$5.49 for a box of fish sticks and you get a 1kg bag of frozen veggies free.

I bought a large slab of blade steak the other day. There was enough for two large steaks and the rest I cut up into chunks for steak, mushroom, and barley stew. I marinated the steaks in bbq sauce and we had them tonight. The secret is to dry off the marinated steaks with paper towel before putting them on a very hot grill.

Great tip a lot of people don't 'dry off ' marinated meat, but if you don't you don't get that nice crust and browning on the barbecue!!

What did you put on your chicken? Always on the hunt for ideas, especially crockpot!

I put potato soup in mine this morning. Potatoes (scrubbed, skin on), minced garlic, onion, cover with chicken broth. When you get home, mash, then use an immersion blender if you like it smooth like we do. Add some cream cheese and some shredded cheddar, let it melt. Thin to the consistency you like with milk. However, I will say this is still good without all the cheese (although better WITH cheese!).
