So it seems that the RCSS at Weston Road and the 401 is under new management and no longer does price matching from the competitors they once did. This is very annoying since I had no problem with price matching from ethnic flyers in the past and it has now become a problem. Not only do they no longer except ethnic/Asian market flyers, but they won't even price match other major competitors, Shoppers Drug Mart and Rexall to name a few.
Does anyone else frequent this location and had the same issues? I think if enough people complain they were be more lenient with their conditions for price matching, it seems to very by store which I find not fair.
Unless they change their policy I will be doing most of my shopping and price matching elsewhere. This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaplus, Pharmaprix, Real Canadian Superstore RCSS, Rexall PharmaPlus, Shoppers Drug Mart

OP, it is very strange to hear about no price matching.
I looked up this store online and their flyer.
Back page, bottom discusses price matching major competitors.
Did you call head office's toll free number to let them know?

I was actually told this 2 weekends ago.
So last weekend I didn't shop there.
I find that they are NOT coupon/PM friendly.

this is the store I go to all the time since its so close to my condo. I use coupons sometimes and have never had a problem. They are always changing management almost every year I see a new store manager at the bottom of my receipt. I have PM but not recently as I have been working way too much to even do any price comparison.

Strange because the Superstore at Scarborough Town Centre or Don Mills never accepted Chinese store PMs. Maybe they're just making it that policy everywhere?

I was told on Saturday that they won't be price matching any of the Asian supermarket as well anymore. I really liked the fact that they did because then I don't have to drive all over the place to buy all my groceries. In this day and age where gas is so expensive, if they want to stay competitive they should be price matching any grocery store as long as the dates are valid and if it's in Ontario. Starting, this week I will start match pricing at Walmart. Sorry RCSS, you just lost a shopper.

Out of curiousity-since Loblaws owns T&T Supermarkets-does T&T accept Chinese store flyers for PMs? Or does the major competitors rule apply at T&T too?
And-does the RCSS in question have its new policy displayed in the store, visibly? Or on the receipts?Last edited by Ciel; Thu, May 1st, 2014 at 06:28 PM.

Even though T & T is owned by Loblaws they do not price match. However, they do accept coupons, unlike most Asian stores.

Thats very strange for a well known company to have selective rules at certain locations. I always price match any flyer at the RCSS located at Brimley and the 401, and i've never, i repeat never have had an issue. File a polite yet threatening complaint to head office. :-D
